If Marvel can axe Terrence Howard and replace him with Don Cheadle, they can pull the same with Letitia Wright.
Aww, I kinda liked how it all looked like a LARP.
Capybara!
Did you guys notice the Sphinx?
Also I suspect the golden blade Kid Loki gave Main Loki was Gram:
He went out like a boss. Glorious Purpose indeed.
What you’re telling me is that these terrorists should have put some stakes on a plane.
I feel we get these speculations every year and naturally it’s bound to be true at some point. Plus, leaving after 3 seasons wouldn’t be surprising for any Doctor in the role cause no New Who Doctor has made it past that point, yet.
I am looking forward to a series focusing on her & Yaz, who seems like the companion out of her crew that the relationship with the doctor means the most to. Also I really hope she gets a team up with her Broadchurch costars David Tennant and/or Arthur Darvill.
I’m trying to be less cynical about these things but responding to SMOU a year later- and only after backlash regarding the Fell announcement- is fishy to me. The offer of reconciliation sat out there for months and only when he had something to sell did he accept the offer...
As somebody that’s read his newsletters and non-blogs for a while (in addition to the themes of his works), I’m hopeful that if anybody could make this work it’s him. But it did take him a year to really start discussing thing so ::shrug::
I don’t know anything about the behavior you’re vaguely gesturing at—sounds like he was a jerk to some people 10+ years ago? And idolized some shit people like Ellis, who he is now openly calling out. We all gotta draw our own lines when we consume media. And with what I know (nothing, this doesn’t tell me anything),…
Because little/none of it is at a criminal level, so no-one is suggesting there be criminal charges.
There’s also the issue that disgusting, damaging sexual misbehavior is very often not criminalized or the bar for proof is set so high that no one will prosecute.
Instead, as Ellis returns to the spotlight at a prominent publisher, there’s largely been silence.
Can someone who’s been following the story more closely than I have take a second to explain exactly what he did? The pieces I read about it are always super-vague, and I’m not 100% clear on what he’s accused of.
I’ve been really bummed out about this since the SoManyofUs stories first dropped. Ellis was such a massive influence on my life. I wouldn’t have walked into a meeting of my high school newspaper if it wasn’t for Transmetropolitan. That lead to a youth internship at a local paper and another when I was in college and…
I hate the circumstances, but felt that if this could work for anybody, that Ellis might give it an honest try. Instead , y’know, he kept up with his ways then remained silent.
The article above provides a link to one of the first stories presented here about the accusations. It’s at the end of the article’s very first paragraph.
