I’m assuming the image I’ve tried to post four times now hasn’t worked, so just look up:
A troll’s been using a lookalike series of burner accounts for months now.
This one’s a troll impersonating the real Dr Emilio - flag and move on.
Yes, yes, yes and yes. Also recasting? Wherever could they find an actor who could fit the role of a strong female fighter?
Only ‘cos Ashley’s rampant xenophobia made her stand out.
Nice to see a nod to Dredd with those gatlings being fired through residential walls (towards the end of James Daly’s work). Still a bit sad they cut the metro system from the released game, would have been nice to see the city from a consistently elevated position...
I heard Media went to self isolate in the Hebrides...
Don’t know if it’s been mentioned further downthread, but another reviewer mentioned that the Braindance sequences can trigger seizures in epileptics - possibly because the tech for Braindancing seems similar to that used to deliberately trigger grand mal seizures by neurologists.
I really wish that were true but, alas, Aran sweaters don’t have any unique patterns for clans, or villages. They just have different makers. Who chose different patterns. Or didn’t.
Nice to see a book review on io9 (especially for such a bonkers necrofest), but there’s definitely a spoiler in this that does effect how you read some of the first half of the book. I’m not going to get a nosebleed over it, but you might want to give a warning?
Terrible’s a strong word but yeah, it wasn’t up to the standard - or the budget - of the first season.
C’mon man, Noah’s gotta be a lot cheaper than an actual Avenger these days and the amount of effects they were using on Altered Carbon it must have cost them an absolute fortune to produce. Honestly, I’m surprised we got more than the first season and I’m grateful for that much.
Really? I mean (avoiding spoilers) there was one character I thought they dismissed very abruptly and unfairly, but overall I was happy enough.
Hopefully you still have iZombie to watch then you can make it a trifecta?
Tonally it looks as deliberately mundane (when dealing with insane phenomena) as Extra Ordinary, an Irish comedy which is very much worth your time.
C’mon guys, it’s the Quatermass Experiment if it’s a remake of anything.
As others have said, there’s no way Ellis didn’t know how major a figure he was in the community, imposter syndrome or not. Just as one example, the article I linbk at the bottom (because kinja hates me) does a great job of highlighting how the susequent generation of creators revered him. Also, some of the quotes are…
Have you read Adrian Tchaikovsky’s The Tiger and the Wolf? A fantasy world full of tribes of shape-shifters.
I asked Max Brooks at a signing if he was involved with the filming of World War Z around the corner from the store - he said he had no input whatsoever - the studio bought the rights then made their own film anyway. They only bought the IP so they could use the name. “Adapted fiction” definitely has limits.
