Link? Only I can only find him mentioning it in passing on Twitter and not what he thought. Plus, isn't he allowed an opinion? And would it negate anything else he's ever done if he has a different opinion to you?

For Scott Pilgrim, mainly, but more amused that Sin City can be lauded whilst being unremittingly misogynistic and Pilgrim gets slated for the same reason. Fan boy hypocrisy.

I love that there are so many people in the comments bitching about a hipster douchebag film like Scott Pilgrim making the list whilst poor, sensitive, in-touch-with-its-feminine-side Sin City doesn't get a mention. Ahh well - you can only please all the people some of the time...

Great film, except The Incredibles wasn't a comic book movie, which is sort of the point of the list.

Hmm - see Watchmen, for me, was like Gus Van Sant's remake of Psycho - it looked absolutely right, yet something was missing from it, some spark of ingenuity that made it a worthwhile retelling.

Glad you liked it!

OH (a knitting designer/tutor/guru) not only KNOWS that is a shawl, but also feels it will be a little monotonous when everyone wears (rightly) a TARDIS blue one. It doesn't lend itself to alternative colourways. In fairness, she does like the design and thinks it's very cleverly done.

Promoted, while I still can use my powers for good.

TYPES of Dalek, rather than the number of individuals.

Oh god... I expect a detailed and empassioned rant from my OH on the subject. She says it starts out brilliantly and then she threw it away in disgust. Not singing from Christopher Priest's hymnbook in this household, fair to say.

Adam Roberts is, to my mind, over-praised. He writes interesting stuff, but most of his books aren't half as clever as they think they are. New Model Army was his least affected book and by far the best, imho. I'd heartily recommend it. (He also wrote The Soddit - a Tolkien parody, if you're interested).

It's close enough in my book - Africa is perhaps not the most advanced nation, but a lot of the big stuff came from there in this timeline. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say "an African-based conglomerate is the world's dominant..."? And I think the 10,000 years refers to the entire series as it's going to play

Can't argue with reasoning like that. Although I sincerely hope you never gain a phial of weaponised rubella...

Except it doesn't just affect them - it affects other people who either have yet to be immunised or who have a natural resistance to the vaccines but not the disease. They're putting more than their own families lives at risk.

Or regressed into an idiot with no hard grasp of any scientific fact.

Just in from Ben Goldacre's twitter: "RT @AmericanAir: @bengoldacre We have decided not to air this audio & thank those who shared opinions."

Hmm - by the same artist, looks like.

amazingmao added something, so I'd better do the same: Anatomy of a Minifig...

I prefer to think of it as them playing fetch with their semi-doggy pal.

I'm going to be resident grouch and mention I posted this in tips about a month ago. Is there any point actually posting there any more?
