Because why would you put this much time, money, and effort into a car only to sell it for $7k?- unless, of course, it's about to go bang big stylee as soon as you hand over the cash and get around the corner in it.

Alternatively:

I'll give you a couple of bucks.

Russia's not in Europe :)

It's much easier to deal with kids in car seats if you have suicide rear doors. Here in the UK that means a Mazda RX-8 or a Rolls Royce Phantom, but I understand you chaps have the Honda Element, which seems a good fit for a family.

Craziest incident, you say? I did once see some weirdo putting his hand down the back of his pants before throwing soft brown lumps at a police car. Does that count as road rage, because it's definitely completely barking.

The airstrip's cheaper than either car. Just saying.

If I can attempt an answer, being a recent convert, it's that it's all about perspective. You watch two drag cars, and you measure them against each other. It doesn't look like much because there's not much difference.

Damn, I just ended up re-reading the whole of that article again. Have you thought of asking Ralph Steadman to do some illustrations for Jalopnik? Sure he could do something interesting, and probably make as much money as he normally does by selling prints and so-on.

I think Gonzo might have suited this piece better - although probably been more harmful to your health. Hmm, let me see...

I was trying to find some figures on how much radiation those scanners put out. I don't think it's all that much - something comparable to the dose you'd receive from a medical x-ray, or a long flight. Higher, but in the same ball-park. Depends on whether it was an older type scanner, though.

Citroen!

Load of nonsense from Muller. Anyone with an agenda to push can point to any portion of GM's spending since bankruptcy and say it came from 'taxpayer dollars'. It's only true in the most trivial sense. In fact, the correct calculation is to look at the proportion of GM's total income that has been taxpayer loans. It's

Don't be daft. You can't let people think they can get away with things by driving their car at a police officer. It's no different to pulling a gun and waving it at the cop to get away - although given the slow speeds, that gun wouldn't have actually been loaded.

According to Iain Banks, on being pulled over and asked 'is this your car, sir?' the correct answer is not 'I thought you only did this to black people'.

In England, we had both station wagons - to pick your shooting party up from the station - and shooting brakes - to take people and guns up to the shoot from the house. The estate car was a later combination of the two developed once improved technology demanded fewer compromises.

Oh, well put. I was trying to work out how to phrase what I thought of this thing, and that hits the nail on the head.

McD's had been repeatedly told their coffee was too hot. It's reasonable to assume that coffee will not be that hot when served.

Have you seen The Boat that Guy Built? It's champion :)

The Peugeot 504 and 505 are favourites in Africa because you can keep them going forever with improvised parts/repairs. For the talented bodger, perhaps it's a good bet.
