clarkson was making fun of him the whole time though

The Lagonda 6. David Brown wanted to replace the 4 cylinders Astons had when he bought the company, so he bought Lagonda to get the engines that Bentley had designed for Lagonda. He slotted it into the DB2 and probably saved Aston from failure as the 2-litre (sometimes referred to as the DB1) did not sell well at all.

YEs, yes, yes. fkin superb

As an 'accessory' for the FCX Clarity hydrogen fuel cell car, Honda developed a Solar powered home charging station. So this system is viable in a full size car, But as I understand it Obama pulled funding from Hydrogen research (I say 'as i understand' as this may not be completely accurate). GM's fuel cell

i thought the exact same. I did imagine Frank Sinatra screaming 'walk this way' after reading it though.

I admire your restraint. I had a DB6 with a £3000 GBP deductible, topped 100mph in it within the first 5 minutes, got a little air on a humpback bridge and got it sideways 4 times on wet roundabouts. Trying to dial in some 'oppo' with the size of that wheel was a challenge. But I have a huge childish adrenalin seeking

only british 80's kids would recognise this, but stephen tyler;

they give them back dented. The Renault Megane they crash tested a good few years back was even a press car.

When the british police bought Austin Allegros they had to change the steering wheels for police use because of the ill advised square thing

indeed

You've never seen highly boosted rotaries, using carbon Apex seals? Rotaries have great volumetric efficiency but poor thermodynamic efficiency, the prime measure of thermodynamic efficiency, Brake Specific Fuel Consumption(BSFC), gives the edge to piston engines. In other words, per each unit of fuel consumed,

i have but in Europe. i will forever maintain that it is not really powerful enough for it's own moderate heft. it was one of reasons i never bought one. i found a good white one but i decided that i'd miss the manual and it wasn't as quick as it's looks suggested it was.

the svx went out in 96. a two year difference. for a Guigiaro designed GT that was the companies flagship at a time when they were looking to be considered more of a performance brand than aomething for Farmers etc (this was their main customer base in Europe) it was not quick enough.

Pinto. Because Fireball

they are supposed to be a blend of performance and luxury, when it barely outperforms a mid-level compact sedan it's a problem. If it was just about cruising, it wouldn't have needed AWD.

But it sold in droves as the Mondeo in Europe.

It sold worse in Europe as the Opel GT 7500 in 3 years. But it replaced the Lotus Elise based Opel Speedster so it was doomed from the get go

Badonk-a-donk

interesting, thanks for the link.
