Hey Big Boy, you got your big boy pants on? using your Big Boy voice? I guess I have to spell this out for you. Not ONCE have I doubted the tensile strength of duct tape. Your original post was all like "i cah unnahstan? why come they say he got lecrocooted peeing on the third rail when mythbussers say it no

ffs. you aren't reading what I am writing are you?

I have been a life long Top Gear fan. and I cannot live without it. BUT I see it as car based entertainment and that is all. I told a friend that Chris Harris was my favourite automotive journalist by far and my wife, looking at me shocked said "I would have never imagined you saying anything other than Jeremy

seriously? I have not once said it could not hold all the weight. I said that it DID not hold their weight.

it seems i've made a mess of the dead horse.

I test drove a Veloster Tech pkg when they first arrived in dealers. I liked the styling, sort of Citroen DS3 mixed with Renault Megane. I took out a 6 speed manual car, it had the full length sunroof and the 18's on it. I like the way I could chuck it into corners and it wasn't too difficult to coax some lift off

and there is no point arguing with you on this. if you believe it so beit, just don't come running to me when you try to descend a cliff with a duct tape rope and break both of your legs. I don't really care that is fake nor that you believe that it is real. You originally refuted an article based on the mythbusters

how am i ignoring it? you edited your original post and first of all said you wanted proof that there was a safety rope. I did that and you've been trying to spin it the other way since. Why would I complain? I accept that it is there for entertainment and not really much else. And in the video they say that the duct

I did watch it. if you watch the full descent on the show you can tell it is the 'safety rope' that is taking nearly all of the weight and there is next to no strain in their arms. I am not going to reiterate this either as I have said this in all of my comments. If you are a fan of the show and want to believe that

no, you can easily see that their arms are under very little stress and the safety rope is what is completely taught. Adam, would not have the strength to lower himself all the way down using a rope with his full weight bearing down on it

I still watch Mythbusters, but everytime I watch an episode I can see so many things that they have done wrong. Mostly when it's grant, carrie and tory.

here you go, 2:52. http://dsc.discovery.com/tv-shows/mythb… they say they used a safety rope wrapped in duct tape, they also never spent the night outside but in a hotel. watch the episode and you can see that the rope is holding their weight not the duct tape rope. especially with Adam.

right you are. is what i meant

Mythbusters bust stuff all the time that would more than likely be down to the way they have staged something rather than facts surrounding a situation. It's more entertainment than an infallible factual program. Anyone see the duct tape rope thing? they wrapped a proper rope in duct tape and that was what bore their

it was an excuse to show Dougie being a fkin mentalist on a trials bike

that wasn't from Top Gear but this video/dvd

ugly as sin yes but a fantasgtically capable people mover it was. anyone i know that has had one loved the thing. mostly they were mothers but it was a face only a mother could love

the A1 was a fantastic car from an engineering standpoint and it's fuel economy was superb. it was just the eye watering price of the thing

Obvious, all the money they spent trying to bring the A-Team to justice.
