It really irks me that cats can’t be considered service animals (at least not in New York, and not as far I found with some brief research). I’m fine acknowledging that many cats are not suitable as service pets; it’s probably pretty rare, since they’re independent and less likely to consider humans part of the group.

I have a friend (for real) who told me that at their location, way back in the jurassic days, certain customers had pans greased with mineral oil because of past experiences with them. I’m talking ‘called to order pizza while in the act of sexy-time’ kind of experiences, or ‘didn’t pay and threatened the driver’

I know! Why must you torment me with cheesy goodness, Pinkham??

What they’re really teaching us is how horrible people operate, in an attempt to let us flee from them as fast as humanly possible.

I have to refer to Gilmore Girls here, even though blah blah TV show, because it sounds like these women live Emily Gilmore’s life. One of the recurring conflicts with her is being treated like her society activities aren’t worth anything. Since I’ve been involved in low level event planning many times in my life

I don’t even know what conversation we’re having anymore. Also I forgot to add Cory Booker to my respected politician list.

Way to completely misinterpret my statement. It had nothing to do with skin color, everything to do with what industries had him in their pocket by the time he ran for president. Google ‘Obama clean coal’ for just one example of how he isn’t quite as liberal as you’d think.

I’ve been neglecting a peace lily for almost ten years and somehow it’s not dead yet... although it came close a couple of times. Which reminds me, it’s finally time to repot that sucker.

I’ve watched that show several times through and it is downright creepy when reality follows minor plot lines...

It’ll be interesting to see her try; from what I read he’s stuck to his positions for a really long time, plus he’s swift on the uptake (aka quick witted). He and Warren are the two politicians I have real respect for; I had hopes for Obama but even early on, I heard enough to convince me he was ‘Democrat Lite’...

“Quirky” sayings? I guess when you’re the NYT, quotes that highlight the growing income gap, environmental degradation, inequality, and a host of other social issues is “quirky”. Even when those quotes come from FDR, Teddy Roosevelt, and Pope Francis, just to name a few. (Full disclosure, I follow Sanders’ page and I

The only flavoring from them that I use is the fruit essence, and only about half as much as they say; I was used to flavored water from Wegmans before I got a soda stream so I don’t need it intense. You can also use lemon or lime juice (and I assume OJ, though I’ve never tried it). I like the mild flavor of just

I’m gonna go ahead and plug Rochester NY for that. We have the Eastman Theatre, plus a bunch of other venues in the area. I suppose maybe we don’t have a *ton* of swanky hotels but there are a few, and we have a boatload of great places to eat as well. Plus they’ve been trying to re-brand the city as a good filming

Although if Stephen Colbert taught me anything, it’s that it is super easy to establish a PAC and then transform it into a Super PAC...

You make an excellent point.

Just point me to the GoFundMe...

Bernie Sanders. I want him and Warren on the 2016 ticket STAT, damn it. /cries self to sleep at night

I really enjoyed The Heat. Granted there was a bit of slapstick in there, but the other role I’ve really seen her in is Sookie from Gilmore Girls, so...

It worked (reduced the pain) for about three months, and then it didn’t work anymore, but they made me finish out the course. That was super fun: the side effects I got were simulated menopause and suicidal thoughts. It’s one of the reasons I don’t even screw around with hormone-changing medications any more; I seem
