My siblings and I got a modest allowance as kids, probably $5-10 a week each. Once my older sis and I had reached our early teenage years we took a page from the UAW playbook and collective bargained for $20 per week, which our younger sister surely appreciated.

Why haven’t I see a single mention of Trump saying “Good” when Biden brought up the fact that Trump’s administration can’t find the parents for over 500 kids at the border? I was absolutely shocked to hear that; Trump actually said the quiet part out loud, and no one is reporting on it.

My working theory is that nice people are usually really good at playing deceptive roles, because they spend a large portion of their lives telling people what they want to hear to avoid conflict.
