Tell us! That sounds like a great story, and maybe we can celebrate his work in that way.

As a country, 5o years ago there would have been no questioning of Michelle having to use the colored drinking fountains, and today she's First Lady. It was widespread especially in the South.

I just love that line. It's so—sensual and classical at the same time. So private and public at the same time.

I rather miss the line in the old Anglican vows that goes, "With my body, I thee worship." Kinda sexy, actually.

I hope this wins just for the sentence "A PhD student lived in our mango tree."

This might even beat Tay the cat-tosser. Good lord.

You're sister is mean. :(

"I've never seen someone read a book before."

A fancy private school.

There was also some talk about the fact that parenting roles defaulting to the parent who is better suited to each situation, rather than which parent has that role assigned to them by gender.

Who is the absolute moron who would get upset to see a woman feeding her baby to the point of speaking out against it? I mean it, who are these people? I've never met one. What is their background? Who is that deeply weird and disconnected from our mammalian existence? What education and religion and upbringing does

Is there a reason to actively recruit women into mathematics, engineering, chemistry, physics, etc?

I would back the shit outta a kickstarter for a children's photo book that included people with a wide array of physical differences (but shot so that the difference isn't the subject of the photo), if anyone wants to get on that with their mad photography skills.

Dayum. That shit burns all the way over hurr.

I don't doubt the story. I worked fast food (specifically chicken) in high school and accidents just happen, the way they happen in any restaurant. It could be that a piece of towel got mixed in with the egg wash and chicken parts and fried up. If breaded, it would be hard to tell the difference if you're throwing

You know, I've been looking more closely at right-wing rhetoric around abortion, and though its arguments are couched in language about the sanctity of human life, I've noticed how frequently the issue of having "murder" be "legal" is actually central: I don't think the right-wingers have deluded themselves into

Va...gina.

Honey, you masturbate with it.

I would buy the shit out of these. And as a fan of all the female GI Joes, I would have been all over these as a kid. YUP YUP.

OMG, my friend from college literally just posted this on FB a few days ago. When we asked her the same question (how can 5 minutes undo a lifetime of parental teachings) the feedback I got from other commenters was that since I wasn't a parent I could never understand-basically invalidating my opinion.
