I saw someone I went to high school with complaining on FB once because a professor wouldn’t give him the answers to the homework. He said he should have them since he was “a paying customer who wants good grades.” It’s ridiculous.

Indie booksellers, especially those that also do a bit of business in old and used books, are the best! I have found so many fabulous books and cookbooks that are now hard-to-find or out-of-print at small shops.

Totally agree. Huge wine lists + expensive food makes me think that the cost of that restaurant comes from prestige pricing and not the actual quality of the food or the service.

I got a wine aerator when I turned 18 and I still use it all the time... It’s amazing how much it changes the flavor.

But on a hot day there’s nothing nicer than an ice-cold glass of Pinot Grigio...
