It’s not even like they have the excuse of trying to keep the events in the same area... It takes forever to travel between Barra and Lagoa or Copacabana on a normal day but it’ll take hours and hours with the level of traffic there will be during the Olympics.

I do use bowls more often then plates I guess, but it’s mostly for portion control... The bowls I have hold less food than the giant plates.

LOLOLOLOLOL he just doesn’t know anything does he. Really? Gluten-free is the hill you’re going to die on? Should the military also not provide kosher meals, or lactose-free meals, or meal for other kinds of diets (which they do...)?

Oh, I’m sure that Ruth Goodman did indeed smell, and that people were simply too polite to say anything. We all get accustomed to our own odors and don’t notice them anymore, but that doesn’t mean that other people don’t notice them.

I unfortunately think that little has changed... I wasn’t alive in the 70s so I can’t speak to that, but I remember still getting attention from men my dad’s age and older starting from around age 11 or 12 in the early/mid 2000s... I was tall and well-endowed, sure, but I was clearly and obviously a child. It didn’t

I’m pretty sure that I’m way, way, in the grays but hey why not...

It’s a tough choice but instead of seeing this movie on Mother’s Day I think that my mother and I will go to our local dive bar for beer and pizza.

Mostly because the race issue in America is so far behind (like most of our politics) where it is in Europe...

That seems like a reasonable way to go about it. And as I said in a different comment I wish here in the US they did what they do (or used to do, at least) in Germany, where every firearms-owning home is inspected to make sure it’s safe and that guns can be properly stored.

I don’t have a problem with guns in theory as I grew up around them and own several myself, but I wish we did what they do in Germany (or what they did when I lived there- someone legally challenged it and I’m not sure what’s happened since). All firearms are registered, and someone from the local registry is required

I think that you have valid and understandable concerns about guns and gun-owning households, but there are way better ways to bring up those concerns. If you approach the parents of potential playdates with a holier-than-thou, “I’m a better parent than you are because I don’t own guns” attitude a lot of people are

If you try to recline and the seat won’t go back, please stop trying. I apologize but I cannot make my femurs any shorter.

I try not to judge people for being on government assistance and having kids and I recognize that for many there will never be a “good” time to have kids... I suppose I should add a little more context to the particular couple I am annoyed at... They’re barely past the age of 20 so there’s no need for them to rush

These particular people I’m thinking of are just... ugh. The poor kid is just going to get dumped on the grandmother anyways, since the couple are still living with her since they can’t afford their own place on two part-time minimum wage salaries. But GOD WANTS THEM TO HAVE A BABY. I fully expect to be asked for

Ugh yeah it’s a tough one. I think it’s justifiable if they’re purposefully trying to bring a child they are unable to care for into the world... Like they can’t even afford to support themselves, how can they support a child?

I can’t wait until the NJ gubernatorial elections. I can’t WAIT to kick this guy out of office. Even conservatives in NJ hate him now.

Speaking also as a tall size 12: If you’re looking for leggings, try Gap! I really like the ones they have there.

I’m kind of ashamed to say that I’m struggling with the whole shaming thing myself at the moment... My cousin and his wife are, as I’ve managed to ascertain from things said on Facebook, actively trying to have a child. I want to be supportive and non-judgemental, and I definite;y don’t want to shame them for making

I also somewhat enjoy the implication that even their own God hates them...

I’ve heard that it’s one of the reasons American evangelicals claim that everyone is trying to persecute them even though they’re incredibly privileged... If suffering and persecution mean that God loves you, but you’re not suffering and you’re not persecuted, doesn’t that mean that God doesn’t love you?
