I have to say, if MS had gone through with their plans I would have just bought a PS4, not a single one of their ideals appealed to me. The Kinect is their best feature given that it is mandatory this time, so I'm hoping it is actually utilized properly in games.

How does it work with kids/parrots? Does it have voice recognition to block other users?

Hundreds of thousands of dollars in R&D and we get a glorified Clapper. Dangit Microsoft, get some Kinect games out! Seriously this is the only reason I haven't bought an Xbox One. I'll grab a PS4 first for the games and wait until MS gets their sea legs.

My local target has a case full of Ones and no ps4's, same with costco which had a pallet of Ones but no ps4's. Sony needs to ramp up their production, that's a bad place to be come Christmas.

I happen to agree that it is less than amazing and not in the least bit newsworthy. I wouldn't post that though, commenters don't like you to criticize things that they have no clue what they are talking about, but the moment call of duty is mentioned they'll climb on that high horse and crap all over the place.

Don't forget the main (and only feature I care about) the Kinect. Kids love that thing.

More powerful, but it doesn't have the features of the xbone or the price of a ps4 and it's manufactured by a company I've never heard of. Again, I might just have to buy my own, there's an article on building a $400 PC that beats the specs and price that looks like fun.

I saw that one, but the graphics card was a little on the weak side. I might just end up building my own, but having a putty case would be nice or maybe I'll just wait until next year when the specs update.

Fixed it. I'll wait until the $500 machine.
