Honestly, fuck body positivity. Fats built a community and SURPRISE! straight size people with the privilege that comes along with that diluted it down to nothing and made those very fats feel unwelcome.

I got the impression that the article is criticizing the macabre absurdity of teachers having to come up with their own strategies to keep their students safe from gun violence, because society and the system have abandoned them on this issue.

My jade plant is for sure not the same thing as a nearly half a millennium old bonsai but I feel for these people. Turns out taking care of plants can be a really cool and profound education. Once you figure out plants, much more of how the world works will begin to make some sense.

While hearty, bonsai trees are delicate, need lots of sunlight, and careful watering in the correct conditions. Having grown and killed a few, I hope those precious tree babies are taken care of.
