I hope so. Truly.
I hope so. Truly.
I think beyond her character just being cool and possibly the only satisfying way to get vengeance for the Red Wedding (unless Arya goes full on spastic like she did in this episode on Walder, maybe) she has a purpose to play and the fact they left her out is right up there with the ('in my opinion') stupidity of…
That would also work.
Speaking of which…is Davos gonna head off soon to reclaim THE STARK HEIR anytime soon with Manderly or are they gonna Greyjoy Rickon? (Yes, I used 'Greyjoy' as a verb, and if you're a show watcher and book reader and don't understand then shame on you person reading this.)
See, I love the psychological and political side of GoT more than any of the rest, but when you've got Samwell Tarly in bed and that whole scene with Bronn and Tyene going on 'not enough time' doesn't cut it for me when it means the story gets rushed.
The book link was there, but now she's essentially a girl who needed rescuing again which is a betrayal of her development. And she's with Theon- where in the books, she seems primed to lead the armies of the Vale.
I would have liked to see that army actually fight and get thrashed while Stannis watches in despair, I mean; not an aerial shot of the battle and then Stannis leaning against a tree.
Okay, I cannot even begin to express how annoyed I am with the omission of the Greyjoys and killing Stannis together. They explicitly called it "The War of Five Kings" in the series, and now, this guy we haven't seen or learned anything about in technicality won the war, and having Melisandre curse him alongside Robb…
That's true, although I have a feeling her dress changed colour. :/
But couldn't they have shown that better? Yes, elite shirtless commando Ramsey burned all of his supplies somehow ('20 good men') but those soldiers looked fine and dandy, if a bit cold. If they're going all out with the gore and impact as they are show us cannibalism due to starvation, show us frostbite taking limbs.
I think we both the hate the kind that spoil the show then because they've read the books (or more likely Wiki summaries). Seriously, they're the ones who earn us a bad reputation as if "book reader" is a terrible insult and they're a tiny albeit vile minority.
Oh crap, Tommen is likable. He's just a pawn at the moment but he's a likable one. *ONE of the few likable Lannisters. I liked Kevan a lot.
Lena Headey is godly. Hate her character as you will she's right up there with Jack Gleeson for best actors and actresses on TV. I felt honest sympathy for that deploraple character in the book and worried they wouldn't convey it in the show but she did a hell of a job.
Cool as Hardhome was, does anyone think that CGI would have been much better spent constructing an actual battle between Winterfell and Stannis so his death and the crushing of this army he's been building since S2 wasn't so anticlimatic?
Bloody well said. Are people gonna skip the Barristan chapters because a masked bunch of masters (POINTLESSLY, I'm sorry) killed him? With how the show's been going particularly with Stannis he may end up at the foot of the Iron Throne before he meets his demise. Plus, in the books he's still a fascinating and multi…
I think for certain stories that's true and for others- ie Sansa's- they've just completely ditched the books.
You're a better person than me then haha. I just can't help it when people act like having read the books is a sin and we can't have opinions on the show or try and educate people with what they missed accordingly. So, I try and be civil most of the time, but I do get snarky haha.
Oh my god he did too haha. I don't understand why they've abandoned the Greyjoys when the show could work wonders with them.
Between that and Dany's burned clothes and scratched hands as if she'd actually fought Drogon in E9 I'm beginning to wonder if the writers of each episode are actually communicating haha.
Much as the show has sort of villainised her character too bluntly Carice van Houten is the perfect Melisandre and a great actress. Seeing her and Davos actually interact needing each other in a strange sort of way in a foreign place was good.
