Really? I thought Broken Dolls was bloody fantastic.

This is true. Accordingly, I've read Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring, and upon realizing what a mistake the producers made at this point in the show which would seemingly set Sansa's story downhill I raced back in time to have a friendly chat with them to change their minds. It didn't work.

Much appreciated, nasty typo.

Ask Jamie down in Dorne, poor Barristan, etc. xD

Perhaps that's true- I think, however, the fact they're going with the Ramsay/Sansa storyline thus far has just proven to be problematic. But I'll be very upset if they just say "hey she got raped now she's a strong woman." That isn't how rape works.

I think a lot of people are simplifying the outrage to this scene to "oh it's rape and violence we're confronted." No, we've seen rape before. This was hugely different.

If anything good came out of that wretched scene, yes, it was that. What a great actor he proved himself to me, and it's good he's actually getting screen time.

I feel like the producers said "let's show we can make our own great story completely different from the books" and failed. They probably could have, mind you, if they hadn't set it up the same way as the books for FOUR BLOODY SEASONS and then changed their minds.

But it didn't "kill the girl," it completely reverted her to square one. You're quite correct that many of these lords use their wives merely as objects, but Sansa's embracing of her gender and using it to her own means, essentially turning the tables, is part of her appeal in the books. Yes, she was never going to
