@theimmc: Agreed. I want to wait until the iPad2 is at least unveiled, but Xoom coming in a month is super-tempting. I doubt I'd make it that long before buying something.

@SilverBlade2k: I was reading this book called the Moral Animal and it was talking about the evolutionary basis for monogamy. It went so far as to suggest that as a serial monogamy culture we have the worst of polygamous (rich men consolidate women, men less inclined to be involved in the raising of children) and

Apart from the argument of "Is it gross?", this whole ethics experiment is not really viable. It requires a lactating woman (IE someone who has been pregnant). I know this sort of thing can be induced, but at that point, this whole 'natural' thing is moot.

TWO? Of those monsters that Giz itself demonstrated to be larger than a human stomach? And you still function!?

@CaptainCalypso: There are two worlds of Starbucks. There is the kind that I know, the sort that is on every corner of the urban landscape. Then when you get out to places that don't even qualify as suburban, a McDonald's model is the norm. It's really weird.

I stuck an Intel SSD in my MBP. Unfortunately for me, everything else feels sluggish now. My perception of 'normal' is skewed.

jury duty is a small price to pay. Although I heard on good authority that (at least around here), Federal grand juries have 18 month assignments; my friend got out of it by claiming hardship. But my God, it's a sick cycle. It's so hard for them to get people, they keep them forever, but the longer the assignment, the

More trouble, just when Clear was getting good...

He never really gained his weight back. It's possible nothing is really wrong except his doctors saying "You're just working too much, too hard." Or at least I hope..

I met the devs at a (non gaming) conference a few months ago. Smart guys doing a lot with just a few resources. You can criticize this as imperfect and what not, but crowdsourcing administration is really the only viable option for them.

@Channan: They had to make sure he didn't have any nukes in his undies. Duh. Can't trust these grandfather types.

@IphtashuFitz: Yea, but when I last jailbroke I got all kinds of crashes...

@reuthermonkey: I actually wanted to show how mum it is, but I just did a test and now I have to eat my words...

I doubt anywhere will actually get close to that theoretical value. The wireless speed wars are fairly deceptive. I've got WiMax, a friend has Verizon LTE; neither one of us can break 3mbps. Psssst. It's the backhaul.

@dennyp: Russians don't take a dump without a plan!

Awesome. I actually hacked together an application to do something like this using my GoogleVoice for a big bachelor party a few months ago.It's not terribly difficult, but it's the kind of thing that needs some spit and polish.

This is a ploy so the gubmint can track you. The "single sign on" crap this technomoron is talking about already exists, and it's evidenced by the fact that virtually all news sites (including Giz) let you login via Facebook AKA OpenID.
