Yeah, it seems weird to include a blind mention like that. I’m guessing Esther Wang is transcribing that from a different source and may not know herself who that refers to, but if the writer doesn’t know who that refers to, why include it at all?

What confuses me (and logic is too much to ask for anyway, I'm sure) is that this was a response to immigration, from a man not born in that country, therefore an immigrant. He should have saved good people a lot of heartache, and just killed himself if he was so opposed to immigration

I’m going to withhold judgement on Wisconsin.  They’ve had a LOT of voter-suppression junk going on there.  That’s why Walker and a Republican legislature could remain despite Wisconsin being a blue-purple state.
