I guess it depends on your interpretation of the definitions. Both reference giving up but neither implies conditions or compensation. Although, clearly “conditions of surrender” are a thing.

I just googled but I have a pretty strong stomach. It’s not going to scar you for life but there are definitely weird pics that you won’t be able to unsee. From a clinical perspective it’s kind of interesting but I didn’t hang out and read over tons of info about it.
