Maybe. But sometimes the villain has a point.

This is a Munn. I have no idea how that relates to Star Wars though.
Read my last paragraph again. Did we not collectively condemn Joe Paterno for failing to report sexual assault and blame him for negligently allowing a sexual abuser to remain free and harm more victims? If that is true (and it is), please explain how this case of refusing to report sexual assault and thus negligently…
Force users all have telekinesis, they handle physical objects with ease all the time. Tiny projectiles no larger than pebbles would be stopped without even having to think.
I literally yelled NO! and threw the book across the room when I hit that part. Holy shit that hit hard.
I agree with all the flaws but the movie was still enjoyable despite them. There’s some bones there to build on, if talented people take the reins. Abrams... I don’t think he’s that person and I’m glad he’s not going to be back for the sequels.
I found Fury Road overrated, to be honest. It was like one big music video based on the concept of the Mad Max car chase, with only the barest thread of an excuse for a plot holding it together. That was almost fine until they got to the “green lands” to find nothing and just reversed course despite any logic to that.…
I would have liked it much better if he’d been injured / crippled so he couldn’t fly or fight anymore and he and Leia toook on a more Mon Mothma type back at the base playing commander / mentor roles while the young new heroes did the field work. Killing him was too damned obvious and robs future movies of a lot of…
Perfect movies are possible. Back to the Future trilogy, the first two Alien movies, Terminator and T2, Predator, Blade Runner, Wrath of Khan, the list goes on. Hell the original Star Wars can count as one. It’s not impossible.
There’s no speculation about it, none of the familial relationships had been thought of at the time and were invented entirely during the development of Empire Strikes Back. Luke and Leia were intended to be at least a potential couple, though they left developing their relationship to later in any potential story.…
I watched this with the sound off specifically because the chick in the red with the tats is ridiculously hot.
Who -wouldn’t- want to do a tied-up Stephanie and Cassie? —umm I mean, right I agree with you. Ahem.
Seriously, I ship Steph and Cass hard. With an occasional tryst with Barbara on the side, but Barb is all Selina’s in my world.
I’m already headcanoning it that the wily old bastard manages to crawl wounded to a ship and limp out of there to end up crippled and half-machine but still grumpy and loveable and he and Leia rekindle their relationship in their twilight years. He will never fly or fight again, but he can be Leia’s teddybear forever.
Interesting, because you describe exactly why I disliked the character and was underwhelmed at best. He retroactively makes the prequel Anakin look ten times more menacing by comparison and that’s saying a lot. I’m sorry, I just can’t take a villain seriously when I’m thinking any minute he’s gonna lock himself in his…
I agree with Mr Wilson.
What the hell does MRA have to do with the choice of racial casting in an actress?
Can you please explain to me why an evil Empire that was modeled on the Nazis and always exclusively white and male (as contrasted with the diverse and accepting heroic Rebellion) suddenly implementing a diversity policy makes any sense? Both in story and out it’s dumb. In story because the Empire’s racism and sexism…
I really liked him in Louise Simonson’s original X-Factor run in the 80s. He was flawed there, but with a good heart and he really worked hard to improve himself. All that went out the window later unfortunately. :(
It looks like fun, at least, if kinda cheesy.
