My new thing is that every time someone mentions a super hero movie, I go read an actual comic book. It turns out there are way more great comic books than comic movies, so this system is working out pretty well. Saga, Supergirl Being Super, and Wonder Woman comics (both ancient and new) have been my favorites so far.

Grunge can never die! Somewhere out there in the void, there’s an underweight kid from a broken family who is way too pretty for his own good, and he’s pissed off about something and he’s gonna let the world know!

It’s the latter that’s more of a factor than the former. A revival doesn’t really need the original acts to be around, but a genre that never really went away and was generally considered terrible as the original acts fell off doesn’t make for the likelihood of a revival happening anytime soon.

Spoken like someone who’s never witnessed the awesome majesty of a jaguar shark.

“...the great things Trump has done.”

I find is so funny that Trump supporters forget what the economy was 8 1/2 years ago. Failing Auto and Banking industries and a couple wars. Bin Laden was taken care of on Obama’s watch, the economy was turned around and this was all handed to Trump that way.

You mean the economic recovery he inherited and is taking credit for and which will soon take a nose dive due to senseless trade wars and misguided tax cuts for the rich? He doesn’t have to worry about keeping terrorists out the US either. We already have more than we can handle. They’re white NRA members who shoot up

Have you thanked Obama for it yet?

I think this reflects a basic controversy over the movie itself. On the one side, this was a mega-budget sci-fi/fantasy entry in the most successful film franchise ever that took black characters seriously on their own merits. That is HUGE. Hell, it’s unprecedented.

On the other side, there are people trying to

Taste, of course, is subjective. But this movie went style over substance constantly. Things that made no logical sense occurred and the jokes were just wince inducing. Black Panther did nothing that was original.....wait wait, there were War Rhinos....so there was some originality there. I think Michonne was really

everything I wanted to say about fan theories is clearly stated in the post

Anotherburnersorry was clearly being sarcastic and actually loved fan theories. The lack of punctuation was a shoutout to Anotherburnerwiki editors, who often write without punctuation. Also, considering the Anotherburnersorry novels (though not officially cannon), all caps is used in a way to show a character hiding

STOP WRITING ABOUT FAN THEORIES

I mean... on the one hand, I am looking forward to the Linklaterverse.

I see a lot of people regard this as condescension. I have to see it from the other side—364 days a year we are up to our necks in superhero movies. Oscar was the one night of the year for everything else. Now Marvel will take that over too.

The “Marvel’s The Avengers presented by Disney Achievement Award”.

Which Disney owned blockbuster property will win this one?

I’m shopping around a script:

Just the (first) tip?

Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). I grew up in a very religious household: even relatively tame pop music was frowned upon, let alone hard rock/metal and rap. Southernplayalistic/ATLiens eventually had their time in my sock drawer, but the Wu were there first.
