Of course they do and of course it’s obvious. And... why wouldn’t they? What is it that you imagine keeps their lights on? If Marvel and DC had stuck to comics only they would’ve had to sell their properties off decades ago. Their movie fans are the reason why these companies can still print comics.

The numbers speak for themselves despite how much you’d like to discredit them to push your agenda. I’ve been a Marvel reader for twenty years. Was fine, is fine, don’t buy if you don’t like it but Marvel’s characters are more popular than ever either way.

exactly. rick is miserable and his self destructive antics isn’t meant to be glorifying, but if you go into the show wanting this kind of behaviour validated then that’s what you will see.

Yep. For me, the movie and book were wake up calls that exploded my 18 year old brain and got me really thinking about what I was doing and what I wanted from life. But I while I completely absorbed Fight Club’s call to live a more authentic life, I never saw it as endorsing actually going cave man on women or society

Wubba Lubba Dub Dub!

No, the removal of legacy characters definitely has something to do with being regarded as shit. Its not the whole of it, but taking fan-favorite characters, and basically tarnishing them to put their replacements on a pedestal definitely was a bad look for quite a few readers.

I only have comic news in the periphery of my feed, but aren’t there several diversity hires at marvel openly insulting fans and showing lack of interest in the characters right now?

The way they both mock, subvert but also transcend genre cliches is astonishing. One minute you’re laughing at the obvious cliche and then it bowls you over by taking it to a place you never expected while posing a real existential question.

That’s what I really love about the show- the story structures and writing is just so damn good! They made a story about a sentient pickle way better than most of the action movies released in the last 5 years.

The best Kirk move is where he breaks a choke-hold, then brings his hands down to chop both sides of the opponent’s neck.

The problem is that idiots fuck each other, and give birth to republicans.

1. Hurricanes are messages from God.

Making the same thing over and over now qualifies as that? Wow, you Marvel fans have really had to drop your standards.

The sickest burn in “Hit ‘Em Up” isn’t even directed eastward: it’s when Tupac expresses his contempt for Biggie by stating that he’s going let the shitty hangers-on surrounding him in the studio drop some bars and then the rest of the song is those losers confidently rapping shitty verses, seemingly unaware that the

Weirdly, the standalone Black Bolt series is one of the best things that Marvel is publishing right now, but it actually proves your point: in order to actually make the character even slightly interesting, they had to de-power him, exile him to the other side of the galaxy, get rid of all of his normal supporting

It really is fantastic. Don’t know why they didn’t adapt that, it would have been a great standalone story and a miniseries might have made better use of the budget.

I dub thee sir Phobos! Beater of ass!

Yes and a union member. MY dad spent 30 years climbing masts of ships and installing anti-missile systems and he never worked Labor Day. If anyone works it, they ought to at least get 1 paid day off of their choosing later and double time for the hours they worked.

Maybe he’s just being contrary, and will come around. Maybe if someone says “Maurice Binder” three times...

We’re Americans! Nobody can be as shitty as fast as we can!
