Carol is trash compared to Monica, though. She might be the actual “legacy”character, but Monica is just plain better. She’s better as a character and more powerful.

I’d be a lot more excited about this movie if it was about Monica Rambeau.

I was hoping I wasn’t the only one having problems with her voice.

That was a perfectly competent yet completely uninspired trailer. They were trying to go epic with it, but nothing in the trailer really screams epic. Brie Larson looks good as Carol. I feel like this will be a middle rung MCU movie- entertaining, but nothing special. It certainly won’t be Wonder Woman.

I think with Blade Runner 2049, the whole point of him not getting dealt with is just to say that the truly powerful never get dealt with. They don’t suffer for their wrongdoings, the ones below them do.

You misunderstand. I was scoffing at your line about the movies being “dedicated to character”, because with the exception of Tony Stark and Cap, the majority of main characters are one or two note at best and not interesting as characters. They’re machines of the plot that rarely feel real.

One is more “dedicated” to the characters? I get what you’re trying to do here, but you do realize that calling most of the denizens of the MCU “characters” is charitable at best, but definitely laughable. Besides which if they were truly dedicated to said character, they would try and see if maybe there was more out

But.. I haven’t cursed out or called anyone else names. Just you and other other person and even then, it was only one instance of each. Is that really enough vitriol to comment on? Because otherwise, as I’ve intimated, your definition of vitriol and mine are very different. Yours seems to be, “anyone who doesn’t

You keep trying to make this a “You hate Marvel” thing, but I don’t and I never have. I think the MCU is cliche and rote and I scoff at its bare minimum fandom, but I love Marvel way more than you know or are even willing to see.

Wait... are you trying to intimate that most people don’t have issues and I have to prove to you they do? In 2018, you think most people are without any kind of issues in their lives and you need a citation to prove otherwise? Do you talk to human beings ever?

You were saying that my entire point is vitriolic, unless I’m misunderstanding you. The person I told to fuck off was a dick and you’ve always been one. Therefore, I was being slightly vitriolic towards both of you, but only because both of you started it. I react with unneeded vitriol sometimes, but in this case, I

I think you and I have different definitions of vitriolic. To me, it’s name calling and cursing more than is necessary (and in my vocabulary, cursing is pretty necessary most of the time). To you, it’s apparently just saying that I don’t think certain people are as big fans of something as they like to pretend they

I just have a hard time believing an Avengers superfan would be happy only having the three Avengers stories they’ve gotten (four is you count Captain America: Civil War) when there are thousands more that are easily obtainable.

I think maybe you don’t understand what loving something is.

I could... if they settled the fuck down and were specific. They love some movies. That’s all. Don’t come at me like you’re some kind of Avengers superfan if youve only watched some movies. Those same people have scoffed at me for liking comics. So, I scoff at their bare minimum fandom.

No, only the people who come at me being dicks. So, you and one other person. If you think all of my replies are vitriol, I’d hate to see what you’d think of me actually being a dick.

Person A is a movie fan in particular. Person B is a fan of superheroes in any genre. Person A goes for the easiest, most popular way. Person B loves superheroes so much they’ll seek them out anywhere. They’re both superfans of a sort, but one is more dedicated than the other. Person A likes some movies. Person B

The people who like DC movies mostly haven’t read a comic either, if they exist. The proof is in the sales numbers, which I broke down for you above. Statistically, it’s impossible that every commenter on this site who talks positively about superhero movies like comics. It’s impossible that even a majority of them

And in my mind, you’re not a huge fan of the concept, otherwise your love for the character would spur you to want to read the books. You just like some movies. It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve seen them.

Oh, you mean like you trying to prove that my view of fandom. Like that, huh?
