You know, one time, many years ago, I was laying on my couch when I felt something bat my face. There was this tiny moth flitting about, so I swatted it. Somehow, while trying to chase it away, I managed to get it inside my ear. It flapped around in there for what felt like hours, its wings beating on my eardrum. I

The thing is the whole parent storyline was used, and to some great effect, in the comics. It seems like this movie (which I enjoyed far more than I expected to) was cribbing from the Ultimate Spider-man storyline. And it worked in the comic, in no small part due to the wonderful Venom story arc, which gave an

You know, I've never been able to make it through those books, so I can't speak to any details. I find them boring. I've tried for years to get past Tom Bombadil and I can't.

It's not the magic that needs rules, it's the story.

Lots of references to fire in here. My guess? We've been misled all this time! The actual villain will be Firefly! And Nolan's going to burn the trilogy to the ground so that it doesn't get remade in, oh, about 5 years.

So, if Great Britain became a state (and that's a huge if), what would happen with Canada and Australia? An interesting question to ponder.

I essentially agree with you. It was mostly the point of confronting the gods and demanding answers that I was getting at, which, in my mind, is a form of vengeance and is also knocking them down a peg as one is, at least according to tradition, not supposed to question the gods.

That's why I put the quotation marks around profound when I was talking about 2001.

Exactly.

So, I saw this last night and I gotta say, you've pretty much hit the nail on the head. For some reason, I was expecting something profound, in the way that 2001 is "profound," and was a disappointed. It was a little unfair to go in with such notions, but the movie certainly did lard a lot of ideas at the beginning.

I guess it's official now - climate change is the new evolution.

I dunno, seems like we already have the evidence to prove evolution is the one theory for life on this planet. I can't imagine what else he could be referring to.

Adorable. But, it does show that Matt Smith can sell *anything.* Even an American could write the show at this point!

Thanks for the well wishes!

Thank you for your kind words. You're right; the only way to change things is just to try and understand each other. I guess this is my way of doing it.

Thank you for this. This could not have come at a more perfect time. I've been writing a comic book centered around a female character. I'm not female. Lately, I've been losing faith in the whole project because of that dissonance. I'm writing this because the character I created fascinated me and because I've seen

Alright, I'll just right out and say it (since I have many times before to most of my friends): I love The Happiness Patrol. I think it's a fantastic and fun episode and it was one of the first I saw where the Doctor actively went out to bring down a government. I mean, it was extraordinary - he didn't happen upon a

This looks amazing. I must see this movie. I mean, what guy hasn't wanted a woman just just appear out of thin air when watching a porn movie? And it's found footage! I imagine the wife being buried alive under a mountain of wadded tissue paper. It's a Jack Chick porn flick!

I think the Master's plan from Terror of the Autons would have worked also. The way the Doctor stops him is extremely unconvincing.

"I am Gotham's ret-conning."
