I like Astrid because it's a good character and Jasika is one of the sweetest, warmest human beings I've ever met at a Con... save perhaps Mark Sheppard. It's a close one.

Was Mel really worse than Tegan? Or Adric?
A lot of C. Baker's episodes were dross, to be sure, but I think he was still a fine Doctor. He's been able to show it in the Big Finish audios. Definitely in my top eleven.
I'm not certain everything up there counts as canon though. Of course, Doctor Who canon has always been a very inexact category to begin with.
Didn't see 'Doctor Who and the Curse of the Fatal Death' on here.
Get your Mass to Mars?
A few things:
For some reason, the lyric "Things are much better down where it's wetter" blares in my skull when I look at the Ariel pics. Can't imagine why.
I'd add Never Let Me Go.
I'm paraphrasing here, but essentially, the higher the profile of the project, the less likely Bill is willing to be part of it. In Reitman's estimation, it's a love that Bill has for the underdog.
Ivan Reitman was on Kevin Pollak's Chat Show not too long ago and gave some insight into Bill Murray. From what he said, this isn't surprising in the slightest. It also wouldn't be terribly surprising if, two weeks before filming starts (or, heck, two days), Bill says yes or just shows up.
Sweet.
From cute baby squeal to Judoon at the end there. I smell The Exorcist re-imagining here.
I have never cheated on a partner, but I was in a relationship where I was accused of it; that relationship ended over it. It was a strange situation. I've always had an irrational fear of being trapped in a Kafkaesque nightmare, and that was very close.
Well, color me excited (a shade of fuchsia, I believe). Lots of weirdness. And then the whole "Let's split up" thing made me chuckle. I hope it's good.
Hmm... I don't see "Retire, purchase every copy & negative of every 'movie' he's made and burn them, then disappear into obscurity." That's my vote.
So, taking those three and adjusting them for inflation, the lifetime gross is $481,179,435, with 2001 being by far the highest grossing and Spartacus being the lowest (by a lot). Jurassic Park made $531,787,835 domestically. I used boxofficemojo.com for the figures (I used only domestic where it was specifically…
I'd like to see some numbers comparing the grosses of Kubrick's movies to those of Spielberg's. I'm sure the latter did make more money, but all of Kubrick's films (save Barry Lyndon) were box office hits. I found Spielberg's lifetime grosses (a little over 3 billion), but I couldn't find Kubrick's; granted, there'd…
I've noticed people often use "universe" and "galaxy" interchangeably a lot, especially when discussing extraterrestrial life.
Check out my mad reading comprehension skills. Or I could just blame a faulty memory.
