"I think it is far more likely that a primitive ate something because it tasted good or, as you pointed out, because it was available as opposed to the "inescapable" conclusion of the study that the primitive had somehow figured out that these foods could cure disease."

"The conclusion that they were eating these pants for medicinal value is a huge leap."

Reminds me of a character from a Farscape episode.

The practical implications are "Massive-ly Dynamic". (fringe)

Just in case nobody says it, "Children of the Corn." Although I imagine 'this' story being quite different.

Interesting. So... the earth will be scorched long before that even happens. This I did not realize.

thanks. some brilliant stuff in there.

"a girl who can control the thoughts and feelings of those around her. "

Human beings are so inventive.

Hehe. I was imagining an aged Clint Eastwood as Bruce Wayne/Batman describing and or recollecting his Batman days to someone and establishing the jumping point for someone younger... providing that needed inspiration in a dire situation...

Seeing this show I could almost wish for a live action Ghost in the Shell tv series like Stand Alone Complex.

Yup. Precisely.

LOL. I think it's fairly common knowledge that Michael Bay doesn't exactly make thought provoking movies up front. There's not really any expectation there to begin with or if there is they're the same kind of people AS Michael Bay.

What? Why would you imagine that people in the future would be any more or less as they are now compared to the past. 'Stupid' people... exist in any time frame past, present or future.

Definitely what I was thinking.

It's always good to learn something interesting. Thanks.

Definitely watch it.

Unhunh. Suuuuure... you were saying...

As far as I'm concerned this is about a short story being re:told not the remaking of an older movie. I really like the look of this newer version 100x more than the cheeky older one. Not too fond of Ferrell though nor the director but hey... I'd certainly watch it. Paranoia is fun.

Ahhhhhh. O k. I... have seen the light. Thankyou. That's really bizarre because I'm picturing that as a horizon. Where galaxies are riding the surface of the balloon you would only be able to see light from those galaxies nearest to us but not those riding the ... other side of the 'balloon'.
