"Epic" and "cool" don't have long standing legal definitions like "husband" and "wife" do.

The fact that trannies need to be diagnosed by a licensed medical profession proves that it is a disorder or disease and that their affliction is an abnormality. Maybe they should be protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
More power to you... just make sure the papers are in order in the event of death or serious illness otherwise your next of kin may make a decision your SO doesn't agree with.
Depending on the State you may be married by common law if you live together and don't correct people who assume you are husband and wife.
I'm curious why you don't plan on getting married, especially if you think you will be together in the long term?
In some States you might be common law married.
When did people become so willing to just change the longstanding meanings and definitions of words to suit their current opinions?
You may want to bring that up with Wikipedia then... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gender_id…
You May also want to advise Merriam Webster to update their definition of "disorder" to be more in line with the liberal politically correct ideology so people don't feel bad about their disorders.
Dysphoria or Disorder it…
Mental disorder, personality disorder, physical disorder, medical disorder... no matter how they want to specially compartmentalize it it is a disorder. If not a disorder, then what is it? An Abnormality? A Deformity?
Maybe society should vehemently oppose a culture that tolerates and condones radical genital mutilation and seeks to psychologically treat so-called trans people for their serious mental disorder.
The facility can be used for more than just football games... graduation for a senior class of 1500 students comes to mind.
Maybe some people think ending their life is the way to improve it... they should have that right. I mean, if a guy can pay a doctor to surgically mutilate his genitals then a guy should be able to pay a doctor to terminate his life.
As a white male, maybe I'd want to benefit from affirmative action policies by being a black male and it could also be a way to avoid that so-called white privilege thing.
I was thinking more like dressing like, talking like, coloring the skin, getting plastic surgery to make features more similar to black people, etc.
Interesting point... so a white guy can identify as a black man (just as a man can identify as a woman) because that's how he feels and the rest of society is thus obligated to refer to him as a black man and if they don't then they must be "racephobic" and bigoted against the persons self expressive belief that they…
transphobic... that's such a dumb word. There is no phobia of trans people, I just accept that they have a serious mental disorder and don't shy away from pointing out that they are abnormal and disturbed individuals.
So you don't deny that they are both irreversible actions in response to a mental disorder? Why should we tolerate and encourage people to irreversible mutilate their bodies?
HE made himself and HIS disorder public so anybody can comment on HIS disturbed state of mind.
Physiological counseling and therapy is necessary for these seriously disturbed people, not hormone therapy or gender reassignment surgery.
Yes it is... they are both irreversible actions undertaken in response to a mental disorder.
