There are great games even on the smartphone itself, say, Ace Attorney or Romancing SaGa. Even if they are ports, the controls are nautral and intuitive. I’d say dedicated handheld are a relic of the past, even as I still have some games I’m yet going to play on my Vita or 3DS, I do hope there won’t be any next

There’s no such thing as 5k marathon. There’s 5k and there’s a marathon.

Fun fact: if you were a kid in late 80s you’re most likely a ‘millenial’ yourself.

Maybe they could make it for smarthphones? That would have been best imo.

I love these games, don’t get me wrong; but all this unabated praise makes me want to counter it.

I’d take a new Sonic Adventure with heavy Yakuza influence. After all, Yakuza is a SEGA property and Sonic could be spotted in there all right. Now the chase sequences in Yakuza are usually abysmal but that’s what Sonic is actually good about. So focus on that as main gameplay and pile on all the ramen shops, hot-dog

Are there any plans for iOS/Android release? It’s 2016, I don’t want to bother with handheld consoles anymore.

Where’s the bread, rice, pasta ffs? I only see couscous that can qualify for ‘food’ here.

Still tape is easier and also removable if you ever need to use the camera

I’m not really sure about this one. I’ve always been a fan of the series, getting the games day one even if too busy to play them and such. I loved them for spectacular over-the-top combat, batshit insane storyline, overwhelming sense of ‘cool’ and overall Japanese ambience with being able to stop and have some ramen

You could just go and play Persona 4 right now. It’s visuals and sound are just as stylish if not more. The only thing P5 could do better is spice up the dungeons which may or may not be the case judging by this video.

Isn’t this the same as several ‘desktops’ or ‘workspaces’ feature that has been available in unix desktop environments since maybe 90s and was later introduced into every mainstream operating system without much fanfare?

Isn’t this discussion, like, ten years old? Most(and I mean really vast majority) of the software that could benefit significantly from running in parallel has already been modified to use and abuse that.

Now that you brought this up I realize I might be making this up, but it seemed natural to me. You always know which side of the river is left and which is right because the direction of the flow is fixed. Now the street ‘flows’ from the first house to the last and definitely not the other way around, doesn’t it?

So what’s exactly depressing about this theory? Even ‘very, very depressing’? I don’t find it even slightly sad. Maybe I’m missing something.

But this actually IS very interesting.

Has there actually been 4 games after that horrible PS2 boardgame abomination? I thought it killed the series for good with The Last Remnant being just it, last remnant of leveling system and whatnot.

Listen, I hate the lack of real buttons on smartphone as much as the other guy and don’t think I’ve ever played a ‘real’ game on mobile, but it’s quite clear that it’s handheld consoles that are now a relic of the past. The more ‘proper’ games we get on phones and the more support/demand they get, the more incentive

Wasn’t Angry Birds free?

It IS new. Has never been released in the West.
