Wait, what’s wrong with 300?

Well you said it - salt IS the preservative. Being from Russia, salted butter is sort of a foreign novelty for me. I don’t think any local manufacturer large enough to be worth mentioning even produces it, so with Putin’s dumb food bans you couldn’t even buy salted butter if you wanted to at the moment. Looks like in

Since the price is in dollars(also, since you can get any drink at all in Starbucks for $3) that must be in the US; however here in Russia you don’t have a minimum - you can ask for a card with any purchase, even if it’s the smallest scone that’s under a dollar at current exchange rate. They also send you birthday

Last Friday I arrived at Arlanda airport in Sweden and heard a conversation between another passenger and a border official: “Are you traveling with an orchestra?” - “No, I play trombone”. It seemed strange to me, but now I know. That guy was a lonely, sad trombone.

To even the odds a little, I had my share of evil librarians who felt entitled to be assholes to me because I didn’t pay for their services directly. I was overweight when an university student. Like, really fat, The Biggest Loser material. So they would look at me, at my library card, and say something like ‘Why

Maybe that’s how he knowingly treats his wife to a “fun meal out”. A tiny sliver of sense left tells him this is not free, but that’s about it.

Speaking of which, are American waiters actually fond of visitors from across the ocean or not? I’d imagine people who are used to 10% being a very generous tip may have a hard time tipping more.

Did you even look at the image? The one from Spain is on a plumpier side of Rubens-style lady. Most modern cultures(unless they hold themselves back) would call that fat. “Technically overweight” is a very generous term based on her estimated BMI being just a notch above 25.

Is she doing that in Minneapolis St Paul airport? Why?

First I read this comment as sarcastic only to click and learn that it was actually true. All these things are good but why put them over free competition(only PBA free and otherwise compliant participants allowed, of course) and at taxpayers’ expense at that?

I upgraded a Win 7 laptop and noticed an extremely strange thing. For most default apps to start, I have to find them via search, right-click and choose ‘Run as Administrator’. If I just click the icon, notification message from the application or type its name in Win+R prompt, the system ignores my input completely.

They would be reaping tons of subscriptions AND still selling millions of GTA 5, Call of Duty, Fallout and other Western mainstream stuff which has totally embraced the new generation of consoles.

Is that true? And is it fun at that? I wish all the PS+ indies were like that, a short fun game you’re done with in 1-2 sittings. I don’t feel particularly great about sitting on a pile of games I haven’t even tried.

iTunes and simplicity? You’ve got to be kidding.

It’s well known among runners that wearing an action camera during a marathon can help you create one of the most boring movies ever(and 3+ hours long to boot unless you’re a real pro). Now what if you didn’t have to actually run to do that...

>If you aren’t in a hurry and actually want to get bumped for a cash bonus

The idea is to either get on the flight or get maximum compensation. Volunteering lowers your chances to get away and lowers your compensation if you get bumped. Lose/lose.

Can there realistically be a different goal? You’re in the airport to get somewhere, not to earn money.

I don’t understand your point.

Yeah, this is some crazy objective
