Well, this game also has autosave. I don't think I've seen one working so normally in JRPG before. So you're not losing progress either way.

If you're looking for a JRPG, go with BD. Fire emblem can hardly be named one, it's more like Advance Wars with persistent units and leveling up.
Wait, what
Almost every JRPG these days has encounters like Persona 4. Random guys chasing you around or running away from you, their looks giving some info about the group you'll fight, but not all of it.
Poisoning your own party to earn BP is cheating, I'd love to see it patched. SP allowing you to act when it's not your turn, replenished by time or microtransactions, is genuine premium cheat. But this, no, it isn't. Lots of games give you control over encounter rate with skills or items, here it's on options screen…
I was in an administrative meeting last week. There were like 60 people, it lasted over 4 hours, I did not have to say anything and I already knew everything I needed to know. Guess what. +100, growth egg, 4x speed, auto battle. It's annoying you have to press buttons at the end of the fight.
Not sure why is FFT on this list. It's superb, but you need to die first to be revived. They always made one game per console generation, and the next one is only beginning. So they're on track.
Like Tales of? Hell no. That's the worst imaginable thing that can happen to FF. I can live with FF completely dead, FF being some totally irrelevant crap like it is now. But being a copy of something so painfully mediocre as Tales? Now that's a disgrace I can't handle.
I don't know where did you take that notion about import. I wasn't talking or implying any imports. Before Bravely Default, I couldn't even play a single JRPG on 3DS that I liked. SMT4 isn't available in Europe, Fire Emblem is not a JRPG by a long shot, Etrian Odyssey...well, I can count it as 1/2 of a JRPG if I have…
I was afraid I'd have to put the game off until I travel somewhere(big airport hubs like JFK give full 10 street pass hits in 5 min, but you don't need it at all. The full game gives you 3-5 random contacts once per day. They increase village population and can be summoned in battle. I just finished my village with…
2 isn't actually that 'many'. And to make it worse, SMT 4 was not even released in PAL region. Unless you count every Japanese game with stats as JRPG, in which case there's about whopping five.
For one project I was reading company documentation, talking to people and so on so I could write down their business processes as use cases. So later software engineers can build systems supporting these processes. My job title was BUSINESS ANALYST. Guess what people would say(or think without saying aloud which is…
My solution to this is - just don't juggle. Restrain yourself to play only one game at a time. If desire to try out something else is unbearable, the game you're currently playing is clearly not good enough, just rush it through quickly or drop it alltogether.
I dunno man.
By 'most of the people you know' do you mean in your age group?
I'm not sure about that 'expendable income' thing. Is that scientifically proven? From my basic understanding it would grow during someone's 20s with the increasing experience, but somewhere in their 30s people are very likely to a) have kids who decrease expendable income dramatically b)hit the 'saturated' state when…
Well if by "outgrowing Resident Evil" they mean "not buying new Resident Evil games" they are certainly right. I'm not really into zombie shooters. I liked those games where you are in a large spooky house where you have to find keys to open locked doors. And more often than not there would be some totally unrealistic…
Capcom published Remember Me. That was an ambitious game with relatively thought-out world, nice looks and neat memory remix mechanics. However despite(probably) having people who made DMC combat work onboard, Capcom couldn't help Dontnod to fix melee combat in their game. They also didn't bother to advertise it…
Phoenix Wright 5 came after Dragon's Dogma and it was awesome - and also had a totally awesome DLC.
The best thing about Fire Emblem for me was that it sold out pretty quickly so I was able to sell it for more than I paid for it.
It's better than Phantom Hourglass. If only for normal controls and visuals. It's a real 2D Zelda that plays like it should, first one since Minish Cap almost 10 years ago. Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks did not work as 2D Zeldas for me.
