My father owned SIX different VW Beetles that I can recall - 1958, 1963, 1968, 1971, 1973 and another 1971. All were bought used (except the ‘73) with bad engines, which dad rebuilt. He would drive the car for a while until he got bored with it and then flip it for usually more than he had into it.

My dad and mom divorced when I was young. My dad’s first car purchase post-divorce as a Zambezi Green 914 1.8. I loved that car. He taught agriculture at a local high school. Right about when I hit kindergarten he traded it for a pick-up and a boat to open a water ski school while still teaching high school.

No, he liked cool cars. He also had enough money to buy one. But he always decided that he should be more practical. He talked for decades about the cars he “almost” or “should have” bought.

Well put.

Hey—o Aspen wagon had a V-8, and 16-year-old me got that sucker up to 100 mph. So there is that.

I don’t know what Drew Peacock is and I implore you not to enlighten me.

I was just watching one of Hoovies Garage where a Tornado takes an MR2 and tosses it across the parking lot and it almost makes it thru the building.

I assume the real price to get it back to the mainland and actually running and driving is something like $10k. A quick look around my area shows three MR2s of the same vintage, but with a manual, for less than $10k.

I’m assuming this project was entirely funded by Drew Peacock just for the purposes of content creation.

What in the poser hell is this insane piece of wanna-be? It fools exactly NO people.

The 360 is my least favorite Ferrari design and looks even homelier on this poor broken down MR2.

Why do people do this? Do they think they’re fooling anyone?

NP because:

This may be the cleanest, shiniest candidate I have ever seen for parting out and sending to the crusher.

I really hate that I like the jenner best, not as a mustang, but as a car design. (I hate it because of the name which I associate with the loathsome Kardashians).

Jenner looks like a GM design, foreshadowing some transgendering.

The Ford Mustang “Jenner” concept

What do I want to know? What’s the fascination with Jalops when it comes to putting tents on the roof of the car. I tent camp once a month, on the ground. You can still have all the features of rooftop camping, just without the need of a...checks notes...ladder to enter or exit the tent. Need to hit the head in the

My initial reaction was HAHAHA @ $4000 FOR A TENT! but I imagine that’s the typical reaction, so I thought I’d ask something normal.

I’m guess airflow since they’re angled to keep rain out.
