Not to sound stupid here, but are you confident in the person/shop that shortened the shaft? And their ability to rebalance it right after the procedure? I have seen the results of these done wrong, can be fatal. Kudos for keeping the old 69 on the line....

Most folks who live in a hurricane zone are warned of impending storms/doom for days before it hits. The wise ones have already stocked up on gas before the shit hits the fan. Also, gas tends to go up at least a buck or two a gallon the day after the storm. EVs are great but there is some shit that is still kinda hard…

The numbers are crazy anymore. I would expect that new LEXUS mentioned would be a fair bit more than 40K by the time you drove it off the lot though...my experience has always been any number quoted/expressed by a dealer mean nothing. Ever. At least until it’s time to hand some money over.
