Fun (?) Fact: You remember that scene in American Beauty where Beautiful Weirdo Camera Guy films the girl, and she sees him, and takes her top off? She was underage at the time. That sort of thing is entirely legal if the parent/guardian is present.

Not to be a prude, but “HotD???” Really?
Under 37,000 my ass.
After accounting for inflation, here’s what the following popular hot hatches would cost in 2022:
but nobody is gonna want to pay $10k over MSRP for what’s “just” a Corolla.
AE86 philosophy which was cheap, light and RWD.
In the current market, the stated MSRP is fictional. *IF* you can find one, they’ll have massive markups tacked on. Even if a dealer is selling them for MSRP, you’ll get a response like “Our allocation is already pre-sold”, or some such.
That seems like a completely fair price. Also, exposes the new WRX for the flop it is.
Italian names? What’s Italian? Morizo was Akio Toyoda’s Alter Ego and is Japanese. https://toyotatimes.jp/en/spotlights/toyota_times/0002.html
Seems like a pretty sweet deal in this time of rising prices and inflation; honestly if you can look past the fairly “meh” interior, it’s pretty good value*
Yuuup lol... the sebring edition camaro. Awful handling, horrendous interior, terrible braking, t tops leaked like a waterfall.
Hardly a $17k interior. Certainly nicer than my BRZ which clocked in at $28k (granted, Subie’s aren’t exactly known for their interiors).
So ‘only’ $6k in upgrades to match the Focus on a track?
Listen bud, all variables considered, a stock 4th gen Camaro of any trim you want is going to lose to a stock Focus RS on a track. This is really not worth debating if you have actually ever spent any time on a track before.
I don’t need to.
The Lightning Lap is just a lap. It makes no indication of what the car is good at except for how fast it is around a certain track.
They didn’t say “We recommend the Camaro SS because it is faster than a Focus RS around a track.”
You are missing the point. Over. And over. And over. I’m out.
No, I said it won’t corner as well as a Focus RS. Reading comprehension is required on your part.
How can you completely overlook the fact that a Camaro and Focus are not the same type of vehicle?
Focus can fit a family of 4 in it (or 4 friends), luggage, groceries, etc.
Camaro can only fit front seat passengers. Small trunk. You can fit people you hate in the backseat, I’ll give you that though. My brother’s…
What are you even trying to argue?
That the Camaro is a better racecar?
If you are building a racecar, the parts lists are unlimited and so is the budget. So whomever brings more money will be faster.
But these are both street cars.
And as street cars, they’re very different.
I like muscle cars as much as the next guy ... but let’s be honest: your Camaro has almost nothing in common with the Focus RS ...
They serve totally different markets and serve totally different purposes.
That doesn’t make the RS bad and your car good ... or vice versa.
Obviously you’re the only one that feels that way.
