Where on the scale would you put arguing on a video game website about what is and is not a bad use of time?
Shouldn’t you be doing more meaningful things?

That’s...a lot of assumptions to make based off the presence of the word “ring” in a title.
I find it interesting that Gawker tends to reserve the most criticism over representation to the media that actually makes the attempt. I mean, it’s fine and all if you think they can and should go further but shouldn’t we at least acknowledge when a game/movie/etc is making steps in the right direction? How many…
Did you seriously feel a need to write this article? Why? Whether a small development studio is all male or all female or what-have-you does not matter. Your statement of, “So, presumably, the founder had met at least a couple of women who were skilled enough to work at one of the highest-profile video game companies…
Weeeee-ellllll, biologically, anyway...
Uhhh... You mean responsible for everything that made Vanilla WoW and TBC great? Actual, challenging content that you couldn’t solo? Those raids were not hard to access or defeat. Pickup groups were clearing Molten Core on “crazy 8" saturdays way early in that raids lifespan, and Onyxia was a steamroll.
Well, he stayed employed for 19 years and is apparently leaving of his own free will, so it would seem he had hidden talents somewhere...
Some people need to spend less time on the internet.
Square Enix being wacky is not a new phenomenon. This was me after ten seconds of Kingdom Hearts:
I believe this is also the case if CJ is in town, when you take on his fishing challenge. If you simply don’t complete it, I’m pretty sure the game stops spawning eggs because it requires you to catch three particular sized fish in a row. I didn’t find any eggs, at least.
Triple the amount of work to fish to avoid an awful invasion of resource gathering.
My town shall build a Kaiju statue in your honor, kind soul.
Also, eggs are only medium-sized fish, of WHICH THERE ARE CURRENTLY NONE IN THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE IN THE RIVERS.
Not all heroes wear capes. Enjoy your star!
Solid post. I think you probably could have cut a sentence or so out. (Probably choose between “Beating a dead horse by the end...” and “A good chunk of the beginning...”) You also don’t need the ‘imo’. The reader knows it’s your opinion.
I was a beta tester for Cave Story+ and NightSky back in 2011. I can confirm that all bug reports had to be sent through Tyrone himself and I never received confirmation/requests for more info about any problems I identified and some were still present in the final release, one issue with the map on a certain screen…
I believed it right up until a few hours before I saw it. I came across something on the internet, searching for more about The Blair Witch. I was a little let down, but I made myself believe when I went to see it. The movie was awesome. I loved it. I went to see it again with a couple of friends, but I had no…
I saw this film while in College in Boston, and the city was covered in missing posters for the kids in the film. We all checked out the website to gather more info and bought the story as real hook, line, and sinker.... The publicity buildup around the film felt believable to me and my friends - mainly because there…
This right here. Great record. The darkwave/synthpop revival is my favorite thing happening in music right now.
Yeah, I think the big one is TIME, since MMOs by their very nature needs to turn what normally might be a 10min task in an offline single-player game, into something that takes 10 DAYS or even 10 WEEKS. It’s fairly eye-opening to make a list of pros/cons to playing MMOs vs normal games. MMOs will lose out every time.
