Definitely not for everyone but here’s a few tips.
Definitely not for everyone but here’s a few tips.
I’ve played every Civilization games since the first one when I was in college back in the early 1990s. I’ve burned countless hours on that series. However, I just could not get into Civ VI. This whole thing with districts and everything else was something that just did not grab me. Maybe I didn’t give it a chance…
Yeah, I think Crusader Kings 2 is more for you. It’s a nice simple 4X that will be great for an introduction. Far easier to learn. Should go buy it and all the DLC and try it.
I wish it was more realtime, or pause-to-redirect.
You dont actually need to remind a unit where to go. What is happening is that something is happening to make the move invalid (Location is now occupied, or moving through a pass which just became blocked) or causing it to auto cancel the move (like barbarians). If your sending a unit to a crowded area target 4-5…
I suggest following some guides. Zigzagzigal has a bunch for different civs. It gives you an idea of what you should be working towards. After following enough of them, you get a feel for how the game is played.
CivV for me is the sweet spot between “understandable at a glance” and “deep-game nuances I can get a feel for after I’ve played for a year or two.” CivIV was easier to just pick up and go nuts with, but CivVI seems just too complicated to bother with. Fortunately, both CivIV and V are dirt cheap on Steam or GOG if…
Yeah, 4X games can be difficult to get into, particularly if you’re not in the right state of mind. The Switch version of the game is based off the iOS version, which I also have. I frequently bounce back and forth between that version and my PC version. I love the convenience of kicking back and playing some Civ on…
There used to be a function (not sure if it was in civ 6, that let's you automate builders (automatically improve tiles), but that appears gone. You can auto explore and otherwise tell your military units to fortify their position (where you want them to be waiting), so you don't have to give orders to each one at…
If I understand Dave’s point correctly, he’s saying to force them to play it as a single-player game.
I see what you're doing.
...Are you just dumb or what? Not to be rude.

I mean, I could; you could also stop following me about specifically to tell me I talk too much.
Smash Brawl had an awesome story mode.
Because Soul Blade did the story right way. It was the only story mode I truly enjoyed and finished 100%. Rewards were worth it. Different rules also helped a lot to love Edge Master Mode :D
The only story in a fighting game should be the frame-counting. Why do they even bother.
Perhaps a warning sign using Comic Sans would also be effective.
So. The FP then?
That “big nasty creature” is a graphorn. #ravenclawout
