Yeah, it's Mon-El. The actor was announced as being cast as Mon-El.

There's a really strong sense of reinvention in this season premier. I'm glad the writers are taking the opportunity to chuck what doesn't work.

Come on now. Jeph Loeb has written some amazing comic books. The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Superman/Batman, etc. He's had plenty of good ideas.

I don't know about that. In the New 52, and now in Rebirth, Cyborg Superman is no longer Hank Henshaw, but Zor-El, Kara's father. I feel like if they were to feature Cyborg Superman in a show about Supergirl, they would go for the version of the villain that relates to her more.

She benefited from the attack by getting a positive-spin article out of Clark Kent. Definitely shady.

I dunno about that. AFAIK, Lex Luthor has always loved his sister.

This was magical. Tyler Hoechlin is the definitive live action Superman for me. Absolutely amazing. So inspiring. I love that he always seems to be in a good mood, smiling at everyone.

I don't think it was borderline comic. I think it was intentionally comedic.

Now just give me some classic Alan Scott and we're all set.

I cheered VERY loudly when Jay put on his helmet. I liked Teddy Sears as "Jay" earlier in the season but something about John Wesley Shipp in that Jay costume just made my JSA-fan heart leap for joy.

I'm not saying Chloe, Ming-Na, and Adrienne don't do a lot of stunt work themselves, I'm just saying that this is an important technique that action directors use. Giving Daisy short hair effectively removes this from their toolkit.

They won't do that. The women in SHIELD tend to have the more intense, choreographed hand-to-hand fight scenes. Ever notice how Bobbi, May, and Daisy very rarely tie their hair up when going on mission?

I loved the bit about the bank commercial with the old people. It's such a specific reference to those super emotional commercials that go viral every once in a while, usually from Thailand or something.

Anytime anything ever uses Moon River I sing along. It's probably one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

Yeah I got it halfway through too. It was great.

I half-thought that that's why she was in the Nelson & Murdock office at the end. How great would this have been:

Yeah, that's how I feel about it too. It makes sense, and it can potentially make for great TV, but it's still heartbreaking.

Anna Camp is perfect, but it also helps that she's given such a fantastic character to work with. Any lesser show would have cast Deirdre as the rich mom equivalent of a mean girl; I admit that's all I thought she was going to be. But then the writers just do something amazing and complicated with her in making her

This comment and all its replies are wonderful. I love you guys.

I'm enjoying this storyline, but I'm actually kind of pissed that the show did turn the character of Jay Garrick into a villain. I love Jay from the comics and it was so exciting to see him on screen. Like the fact that we got Jay Garrick with his metal helmet on a live action TV show was amazing (what a time to be
