I'm glad to see a sitcom dealing with the idea of the modern arranged marriage in such a real way. People have so many misconceptions about how it works, but someone on the writing staff for this show is clearly bringing some first-hand experience to the table. The whole thing with Shivrang's mother talking to Cece's

I have never seen segued spelled like that. That's amazing. I'm not even being facetious.

I'd read the article a few days ago. It really is worth a read.

Hello!

I would definitely watch a sitcom about NBC constantly retooling a sitcom project. A really meta, sort of spiritual successor to 30 Rock.

Kind of cool that Amy Adams is playing Lois Lane now in Man of Steel.

With the timestamps-on-black throughout the episode and the relative seriousness of Claire's storyline, I thought they might have gone for some HIMYM-level heartstring-yanking by giving her a really serious medical emergency. Could have been really daring but Modern Family generally plays it a lot safer, so I'm not

Right? It's insane. At this point why not just make a completely new show?

Hey, ship happens.

The mechanics and the physicality of the kiss were amazing. Sometimes actors telegraph that they know its happening when they're supposed to be surprised (e.g. Annie kissed by Abed at the end of A Few Paintballs More), but here Jess doesn't look like she knows what he's about to do, but she goes straight into it once

Right up there with Troy's "Sup girl, how you livin?"

Yeah, Winston's story really clicked. Daisy is a good match for him and I agree on her actually having a definable personality. Shelby had nothing going for her in terms of characterization. I hope this girl sticks around.

Until they are rescued by Fat Monica and Fat Schmidt?

Gloria's father probably had not died by then, so it probably wasn't as important to her mother that Manny would be named after him.

Close; Kenneth in the HD camera is a Muppet.
