And maybe you can count Thyra, since he has assumed she was dead all this time.

Alfred's a king, and Uhtred is really just a minor nobleman. Alfred knows his worth, but there are more important people with whom he can hang around. I don't think they were really friends at Athelny, just people in the same situation together, with an artificial intimacy.

He could turn up later. Alfred will still need to have a guard. Just as this show did what Game of Thrones did in combining characters, it could also have previously omitted characters turn up later than they did in print.

Actually, this season covered two novels in 8 episodes; The Last Kingdom & The Pale Horseman. tLC ended with Uhtred defeating Ubba, and his humiliation with Aethelwold at the beginning of the next book, which included the victory at Ethandun.

Also, they have all the same science and medical terminology on the two different Earths, but NOT the same nomenclature for blood types? And how did that never come up while Caitlyn & Jay were collaborating on the Velocity project?

What does it say about Cisco that he and the crazy ones have the naming impulse in common? And how long are they going to let him get away with keeping quiet about his vibes?
