So when looking at Anime material he ends up drawing it blue. That’s all it is, nothing more, nothing less.

I said Toriyama tends to draw Anime Trunks with the same hair color as Anime Bulma. The Anime ignores that and continues to use light purple.

He matches the hair because in his brain Bulma and Trunks have the same hair color. Which they in fact do not in the Anime, as Toriyama changed Bulma’s Hair from Blue to Purple in the Manga. The Anime kept the Blue.

Trunks’ Hair is Purple, it matches Bulma’s hair in the Manga.

So when Toriyama draws Anime Trunks, he tends match Trunks’ hair with his mother’s anime colors.
