I like that you guys are having fun with this... Fusion has the makings of being a milestone for Ford. Now just bring us the Fusion ST already... maybe with the 3.5TTEB, maybe with AWD, and maybe call it the ST-HO. How about it Taurus SHO fans??? <crickets chirping> No?

How did the new Focus ST not make this list... it sounds like an angry turbo sewing machine. And I say that as the owner of a new Focus ST.

Oh geez... you guys need to settle down with pimping oh-so-awesome '80s vintage euro cars, or the next thing I know, my Cosworth-wannabe XR4TI will be too valuable to rag the living crap out of, 'cause if/when I hoon it something immovable, I won't be able to find a replacement/parts XR for $300 again.

I'd personally love to see some version of the new Ecoboost Mustang get the SVO name for heritage sake, which would be totally in keeping with many of Fords special models like the MCA edition, Bullitts, Mach 1s, etc. Besides, no one in the Mustang world will care that Special Vehicle Operations doesn't exist anymore

Awesome and clever bit of marketing mixed with gearhead interests. As for the Fusion, V6 be damned, unless it comes with a couple turbos. The 2.0L EB shared in this car, the Focus ST, and others is quite a performer for its modest displacement. Only thing better: 2.3L EB Fusion ST. Bring it Ford!

Oddly, I drove the equivalent of this car 23 years ago, even had the same wheels, except instead of an old, beat-to-crap import, it was an old beat-to-crap muscle car... specifically, a 1970 Mach 1.  Maybe Corbin will keep his as long as I've kept mine and try to return it to what it might once have been, and then

Careful consideration and an "innocent until proven guilty" philosophy... that's all the LAPD needs... no one gets shot at until verification is provided; /argument. If it means that a guilty person gets away in order to ensure an innocent one isn't hurt, then that's what should happen. The cost (beyond financial)

Ah, a completely reasonable and metered review. No hyperbole or attempts at waxing poetic, just simple statement of subjective interpretation. A mark of maturity lost on those that insist that performance cars are a let down unless they do some things just right, and others all wrong. But here's a thought for the

Focus ST FTW.

Now playing

Sounds like they wanna do something like the Focus ST Key West commercial...

Jalopnik, you used too many syllables. Get it right, it's just Flar-duh.
