Neutral: Because when a car company historically gives you less to worry about, you're not as mad when something does happen (read: Honda reliability)

Honda didn't take bailout money, and claim that it was "Old Honda's" problems

I think this is one of the neater concepts to come from Toyota, without being too ridiculous about it. It's very clearly a concept, but there's a lot of practical/sensible shit going on here. Not bad.

  • The wheels are altogether too shiny.

My mom is one of those "automatic" Honda buyers. She bought her first one because a friend had and loved one. When it was time to replace it (in '06), I had her test drive a lot of cars, because I wanted her to like what she got. Turns out she liked the Honda the least - but she went out without me later in the

It would not surprise me in the least. Our big bumpers don't weigh nothing.

The new body style looks absolutely magnificent in this color.

My 2008 Tacoma V6 4WD gets about 23mpg on the highway, and around 17mpg city. I make up the additional fuel costs in reliability, resale value, and the fact that it's not a goddamn GM vehicle.

140 is impressive but.... growing up driving Beltway 8, and now living in another city, I can't understand all these people going the speed limit or below.

Dear Toyota,

Until, I read this article.... I had no idea. Guess Jalopnik will probably start shutting its doors in the next few days. I'm sure it came as a surprise to them as well. Car culture is apparently dead, people.

So... what's new about Journalists being stupid and not understanding new tech... But ya... most people people do look at driving as a menial task cause they get boring cars and just use it to commute...

When I was working on my Poli Sci undergrad I really wanted to become a lobbyist, I think I may have finally found the cause I can really get behind.

"Hello Mr. Congressman, I'm Chris_K_F. I represent the Society for Hooning Imports and Flogging Tires, also known as SHIFT..."

But were all broke from throwing all our money into cars...

How about putting the TSA in charge of the line to get in...

Explainitome, have you ever driven a car with a real manual transmission?

Wait, they're only using a 3 mile stretch of the road? I've done testing on that road for the past couple of years for SAE towing, the road is about 11 miles long, why are they not doing the entire length? What a lot of people don't realize is that HP and torque for this test is not nearly as important is your cooling

All congressmen/politicians are idiots. I'm an idiot too but the difference is that I'll admit it and not spend your money.
