Fast browser on Windows? K-Meleon. It's the Mozilla Gecko browser engine, only implemented light and fast:

It appears that this is an idea whose time has come, again and again and again. I've been using the Fetch Text URL's addon for yonks:

Xplorer2 isn't free but Xplorer2_lite is free (but feature limited).

When creating disks I typically burn the disc then delete the source files using a short script that:

xplorer2 is one of my favorite programs and among the first I install on any new system. It started off as the freeware 2xExplorer which is where the author tried out his ideas on file manager design. Good thing he did because his commercial xplorer2 software shows a depth of talent in design that few apps have…

DONUTS!

x23 has the sage advice above. "Add keyword for this search..." in an excellent way to add an arbitrary search function. Especially when used with Launchy!

"I've got a bad feeling about this."

But is there a way to simulate the instability of IE effectively? We have to strive for complete replication to really convince end users! ;-)

Uh oh, a double post. I am evil. But I had some suggestions for those above:

A few of my suggestions may go outside the scope of a typical blog because they aren't items gleaned from other bloggers/news reports. But hey, that's life. Always about the growing. A few things that I would find useful:

Maintaining energy levels while physically exerting yourself isn't an entirely modern problem. People have been doing hard work for centuries, though probably not for the reasons most of us work out. And through those centuries people have come up with tasty ways to hydrate and energize all at the same time.

NeedleSearch, another Firefox search extension, also offers the ability to search on arbitrary keywords from a web page via context menu.

If you like Irfanview you will love FastStone Viewer (at the link I accidentally posted above). It's a smaller, lighter, far more powerful viewer in the same vein as Irfanview but it differs in that it is:
