I watched this show with my dad every night. He died Wednesday. I know somewhere he’s laughing with me about how awesomely unapologetically unsubtle the line was about the guns.

As a huge fan of The Verve, I groaned at the Cruel Intentions soundtrack line, but it does seem like something a teen girl would say, especially one who hadn’t been born yet when the song was released.

I get that the show is trying to spin Veronica’s life as a new-generation Cruel Intentions, but to say Bittersweet Symphony was from that soundtrack is a huge disservice to The Verve.

Yeah Judith Light definitely had the flashier role, but Mike Farrell’s acting was so layered and nuanced, it’s almost easy to forget that he’s acting. TBH he was the breakout character of the episode.

Between Cunanan and Dahmer, being a closeted gay kid in Chicago was really rough

Am I the only person old enough here to be impressed with Mike Farrell bringing his acting chops almost 40 (right?) years after saying goodbye to BJ Hunnicutt?

Ahh, the Rock-N-Roll McDonald’s. The go-to lunch spot for pretty much every school field trip to downtown Chicago.

whatcha making and where dya live. I hungry.

His shtick is to be an Alex Jones instead of an O’Reilly.

Blue stars only affect boys. Pink stars only affect girls. IT’S SCIENTIFIC.

Oh for sure. I have ambivalent feelings about Alex’s apparently impending adoption of Ruby. But I thought their scenes together in this were very cute. I like that Ruby correctly realizes that Alex is the most badass person she’s ever met.

My prediction is that since Alex wants kids, Ruby is a kid, this episode shows how great a mom Alex can be, how much chemistry they have and solidify’s her need to be a parent. Reign dies, and BAM, Alex is a mom.

bruh chill

My guess? Alternate Lorca somehow actually started the Klingon War and somehow contributed to the circumstances leading to Burnham’s mutiny (he says himself that he doesn’t consider her a mutineer). So her rank is reinstated, making her the de facto Captain of the Discovery.

Holy shit someone’s triggered.

Cue wistful posts by women, wondering where all the “real men” went.

MTV needs to own for their own role in encouraging sexual harassment with the Mötley Crüë, Poison, Warrant, White Lion, Great White, White Snake and Nelson videos that they air all day long that objectify women!

the link you have just goes to an MTV #MeToo landing page with no mention of this study.

My problem with Darren Criss is that he SCREAMS theatre student geek. You can very obviously see the effort he’s putting in to be the best actor onscreen, and it never looks effortless or natural. I guess you could say that’s a perfect attribute to play an evil narcissist like Cunanan, but I don’t know how

Tonight, Patrick Stewart will watch this film. After it's finished, he'll pause, contemplate the world and then pick up the phone. A few numbers are tapped and then a ringing noise is heard.
