The thing about this is that there are established people who do this for a living.  A lot of us can’t afford to hire them, and that’s understandable.  But in the case of the very wealthy, there really is no excuse.  This destroys families.  I’ve yet to see a case where it hasn’t.

It’s so incredibly irresponsible. I see cases like this regularly, and even families that previously thought they were strongly bonded fall into dysfunction in these situations. People always report seeing a side of their brothers/sisters/cousins/etc. that they never thought possible. It’s not only possible, it’s

He was also looking at a possible twelve years if he didn’t make some kind of plea deal.  He knew he was guilty and didn’t want to risk it.

These comment sections would be so much more intelligent and enjoyable and less stressful if people would just stop arguing with people who will not listen, willfully refuse to understand, and probably don’t have the tools to get it even if they wanted to.

I have stopped buying from them. I have to pay exorbitant prices shopping online because there are no black woman business owners anywhere near me.  Thanks for the unsolicited, unnecessary, and unwanted advice.

Never mind my comment, I can see from having read more of your comments below that you are an MRA troll with a wild, dumb agenda. I won’t waste any time engaging and am frankly embarrassed to have been drawn in.

I think some of your comments are really letting Asian men off the hook here. Asian men hate black people just as much as Asian women, it just manifests in different ways. Asian men love kicking us out of their shops (in black neighborhoods!) and assaulting black people, particularly women, for shopping in said shops

That person also clearly knows nothing at all about the civil rights movement other than “MLK said be nice to white people.”  Black people threw hands back then too.

I had a white friend named Tariqah (his parents were some kind of hippies or something). After he graduated law school, we were having a drink and he started wondering aloud why he hadn’t gotten so much as a call back. I was like, you can’t be this stupid. It’s your name, use your middle. Instant turnaround. Opened

Thank you for allowing us to serve you.

I see Daryl Davis is the new MLK as far as a “gotcha” in the racism conversation. No thanks. Firstly, the fact that they aren’t wearing robes and burning crosses anymore does not mean they are not racist anymore. You’ve set the bar too low. The bar is on the goddamn ground.

I’m not trying to talk slick, and I know Texas is big, but where are you in Texas. Because I was born and raised in Texas and ain’t nobody I know back home getting mad about “person of color.”

I don’t have any problem with what he said about Heather Heyer or anyone who has died for civil rights or actually has skin in the game.

I never said he had to pardon himself post-conviction, I said he likely would. Because someone like him denies and dissembles until he is forced not to. Try responding to the actual words I wrote.

That general paragraph about pardons addresses nothing about what I said specifically and provides me with no information I don’t already know. Furthermore, he will not even be charged with treason let alone admit to it because he hasn’t committed it because we are not at war with Russia. In any case, acceptance of a

The problem with this is that the pardon, if he has that power (that he might is only a subject of debate because this is America; the idea is absurd), would likely take place post-conviction.  Impeaching him (and I don’t think the Republicans would ever actually vote to do it anyway) does nothing but bring charges

You and I share the same fandom background and the same sentiment.  F*** the cowboys.

You again don’t know what you’re talking about. First of all, there are very specific rules about when you are entitled to get your legal fees back; they don’t apply in most cases.

You are the one who misunderstands. Just because one has a law degree and practices law for many years does not mean you know anything about libel or defamation law, which are the only even remotely plausible grounds on which Musk could sue.  Lawyers specialize.  That’s why lawyers hire other lawyers all the time.
