AI art is actuallly great, people who create it using prompts are artists and automation is just a natural part of civililization and technolology.

And to those people, I say: “Come on, really? Come on.”
The corporate calculus is simple:
100% agreeing with you there. A full feature-length movie with Martinet’s voice as Mario would probably have me ready to punch some kids.
... and we don’t want that.
Seriously we need to stop this idea that Charles Martinet would be a good mario for 90 minutes. He does a fantastic job with the short quips and reaction lines but god if you hear him trying to do long form mario it is just grating and awful.
I have to say, the AI-generated llamas are not significantly worse than a lot of stuff on DeviantArt
DA obviously screwed up the introduction of this, but I’ll have to defend their intentions here somewhat.
Ai art has nothing in common with nfts or crypto, seeing as it produces something instead of nothing.
You mean the people who have REPEATEDLY INSISTED THAT THEY ARE NOT JOURNALISTS, whenever someone criticizes their lack of journalistic integrity or standards? Those “journalists”?
The gall of these fuckers.
I can genuinely say Kotaku’s writers over the past decade have been singularly the most amazing games journalists
Bethesda got real shitty about the name with other people, too. An indie game initially supposed to be called “Prey for the Gods” but wasn’t anything like Prey (it’s sort of a ‘Shadow of the Colossus’ clone) got threatened with a lawsuit and changed it rather than risk losing a legal battle. But because they didn’t…
Bethesda also sued No Matter Studios over their game Prey for the Gods.
Or you found someone who doesn’t believe unauthorized reselling is inherently shady. I buy most of my keys from both authorized and unauthorized resellers, so the notion that the latter is “shady” seems pretty silly to me. Even if we’re talking about key marketplaces like G2A or Kinguin (which are not the same as…
I wonder if the potential loss in sales is the worth the potential boost in exposure. Surely developers know that handing out keys to random, unverified curators will result in many of those keys being sold or traded. However, they keep handing them out regardless. They must believe that the increased exposure will…
I’m gonna catch a lot of heat for this but here goes. If I can respect a person for their sexuality because who they choose to be with has no bearing on me, why do I have to care that someone is customizing their single player game to not see things they don’t want to in theirs?
Funny how you talk smack on al the ”slurs” people use but you basically begin your thesis with a teenage slur “his name sounds like My C@ck”. #hypocrisy
Is this “News” or a “Commentary”. I don’t see the issue with having textures altered. It would have been an non issue if it was replaced by some BLM stuff
Who cares? The American Flag files were already in the game, they get swapped in when the game is sold in less LGBT-friendly markets. If anything, one should be mad at Insomniac for doing what Disney does when they tout a gay couple in a movie, then cut it out for the Chinese market...
“Arguably, we’ve already had the “perfect” D&D movie thanks to Peter Jackson’s adaptations of The Lord Of The Rings in the 2000s—which, if I’m being honest, do chart a bit too close to “action movie” for my taste”
