I don’t think people really wanted a full remake as much as they wanted just an HD remake with redrawn textures. 

They’ve already said it’ll be like FFXV which makes it a hard pass for me.

It is the same engines though, with upgrades. They may rename it but it’s always been the same in house engine they upgrade along with the game as the article explained. They definitely aren't making new engines from the ground up. 

Why not choose an in game screenshot of 76? The one you chose is promotional material and the game does NOT look like that while playing. Go watch any vid of gameplay and try to tell me I'm wrong.
