I had completely repressed all memory of that show - then it came flooding back like a bad 'Nam flashback when I saw that damn ape. I wish I could un-remember that.

I hadn't seen that before - it's so beautiful I just want to stand up and salute. (and maybe cry a bit, but only in a manly way)

It didn't make the list because it's one of the very best! :)

Oh Robot Chicken... I love you!

Three episodes in and James May's Cars of the People has already deviated a bit. This episode includes such proletariat rides as the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, Lamborghini Countach, and Porsche 911 Turbo. But as with all things James May, there's a method to his madness.

Hooray for "Beetle!"

Boo for forgetting the most recognizable sports car - "911"!

Holy crap! I'm very impressed. That is an amazing car you have for $5.5K.

It would make a bad-ass camper, but that's way too much money for the beginning of a project.

Yes it cost almost as much - and was a much better sports car. The 914-6 was so much lighter, but used the same running gear as the same 911 - add a dash of engine not in the back, and you ended up with a car that was better than the 911 on the track and backroads and tried to kill you much less often.

I'm sure I'm not the first to tell you, but that isn't a -6. That's a 2.0 4 banger. Easy ways to tell: VW badge on the back and 4 lug wheels - both exclusive to the 914-4.

The -6 is a miracle machine. The world truly does need more! I've had the amazing good fortune to drive and work on an original 914-6. It's a

Don't let the Jalops see the PT....

Darn. I can't find it in the Naval Aviation Museum's catalog of planes. Perhaps I'm mistaken. However, I clearly remember seeing a black airplane with a radial engine at the front and a jet out the back... Anyway, I can't prove it, so I have to apologize to the world. It looks like they don't have one now. (and

They have one of these strange beauties on display at the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola FL. I thought I knew a lot about airplanes until I visited that museum... I've never seen so many one of a kind, limited production, short lived and just plain rare aircraft, especially from the dawn of the jet

YAY!! future LeMons racers! :)

I had exactly the same thought... This kind of error seems totally preventable with a little bit of engineering. Some kind of interlock that won't allow the brakes to release if the dumper isn't fully down, or a system that limits your speed to 5 or 10 mph while the dumper is not fully down and locked.

Point made Sir. The 911 is nice for the backseats - which actually are useful if you have children or are in an emergency. Storage in a 911 is also better: it's truly amazing what you can put in the trunk, behind the seats, or on top of the folded back seats. As a daily driver I think you can make a case for the 911

I'm a 911 owner. The Cayman is a better sports car.

Shouldn't the suit include every computer ever? ...also phones, cd players, DVD players, iTunes, every cloud service, et. al.

The Music industry really doesn't have a clue how stupid/bad/out-of-touch this kind of litigation makes them look. It's like when they scored that huge win for getting a 14 year old girl

Love the car, but you can have some really awesome cars for $34K. Some way more interesting cars... It would be a hoot at half the price (although still too rich for my blood)
