Yes it cost almost as much - and was a much better sports car. The 914-6 was so much lighter, but used the same running gear as the same 911 - add a dash of engine not in the back, and you ended up with a car that was better than the 911 on the track and backroads and tried to kill you much less often.

I'm sure I'm not the first to tell you, but that isn't a -6. That's a 2.0 4 banger. Easy ways to tell: VW badge on the back and 4 lug wheels - both exclusive to the 914-4.

I had exactly the same thought... This kind of error seems totally preventable with a little bit of engineering. Some kind of interlock that won't allow the brakes to release if the dumper isn't fully down, or a system that limits your speed to 5 or 10 mph while the dumper is not fully down and locked.

Point made Sir. The 911 is nice for the backseats - which actually are useful if you have children or are in an emergency. Storage in a 911 is also better: it's truly amazing what you can put in the trunk, behind the seats, or on top of the folded back seats. As a daily driver I think you can make a case for the 911…

Love the car, but you can have some really awesome cars for $34K. Some way more interesting cars... It would be a hoot at half the price (although still too rich for my blood)

I'm sad the Audi allroad didn't make the list. It was more deserving than at least one of the MB automobiles. The allroad must be one of the most unreliable cars made by Audi, and one of the most expensive cars to fix ever made by any mainstream automaker. Stupid car nearly bankrupt me.
