That was my concern when those mechanics were first unveiled, but after spending 80 hours in the game I can say that the wild experimentation is pretty easy and optional. There are several pre-built contraptions laying around the world that you can just use, so you don’t have to be a Kerbal savant to enjoy the game.

I haven’t grinded for anything, most of my upgrades have come from just playing and enjoying the game.

Thankfully DD2 won’t have much competition in the Fantasy ARPG space, allowing it plenty of room to shine. I’m so excited to see modern Capcom tackle this on the RE engine with (hopefully) lessons learned from past open world games released since the first DD.

Take. My. Money.

This stole the show for me. Sure, Spiderman 2 is guaranteed to be great, but DD2 is going fill that empty Elder Scrolls hole in my heart, AND give me a nice alternative to FFXVI for that specific play style.

They are obviously trashing this game at every turn. I’m baffled by it honestly.

Yeah, these guys/ gals are seething hard.

I can’t explain it, but X didn’t *feel* as linear as XIII did. I’m not sure if it was the locations or what, but it never became a problem for me. Whereas XIII felt like running down a really long hallway.

Lmfao fair

I don’t think I’ve seen you make a single positive comment on this site. What do you find joy in?

IMO it’s a direct continuation of FO, but an improvement in almost every way.

Just out of curiosity, what would you call excellent?

That entire sequence from start to finish had me awestruck. I genuinely did not see ANY of that coming.

That final boss was relentless, but god was it a satisfying fight. It made for one of my favorite story moments in Star Wars media.

The patches mainly modify and replace files, I don’t think it will add anything of consequence to the total.

Oh shut up lol a 30fps shooter is pretty unacceptable in 2023. Launching without performance mode is a huge miss.

Ah, I think I let the headline shape the tone for the rest of the article.

What is it with Kotaku dumping on this game lately?

Stereotyping is bad

Nah. Being able to defend yourself by any means necessary is a beautiful thing. Is absolutely is a bullshit ass case tho.
