My S40 was the T5 with AWD and a stick (one of only 2 in stock in 3 states). I doubt the AWD would have improved things...

I bought a S40 T5 about a year and a half before they launched the C30. Which means I fucked up. Great car and got a ECM tune that pushed a little more power out and made it all the more fun in a straight line.
