@funkychunky: Except there was an article posted in the last day or so which stated that the iphone parts themselves cost about $188. Then, if you are an adult with a big boy brain, use common knowledge and factor in R&D costs, manufacturing costs, shipping, marketing, and corporate and retail staffing costs, etc.
